I mean, this looks more like an actual laser but I like the slight transparency and one solid color better. Not only does it pretty much universally look good, but if you use team color on the lasers too it's very easy to see who's lasers are who's. I dunno if I can say that'll work out for this design.
I know realism is not the first thing to aim for in C&C, but honestly, team-colored lasers make zero sense. Each color has different wavelength, and the wavelength determines which materials this laser will cut and which will not.

Maybe they use some kind of tiberium crystal optics which allow colour injection whilst maintaining beam intensity and material interaction. Perhaps it's not even really a laser, but some sort of particle beam.
