Cathnoquey; The Fractured Isles is an upcoming DLC-sized mod set to the far east of Tamriel, on the second of four Padomaic isles conquered by Uriel Septim V in 3E 276. This project aims to bring the archipelago of Cathnoquey to life in stunning detail in the Creation Engine during the timeline of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Set in 4e 201, the East Empire Trading Company recently reestablished the colony of Wardensbay on the island of Cathnoquey after the Imperials abandoned the isle in 3E 291 following the death of Emperor Septim in Akavir. Tensions are high amongst the local population of men known as the Keptu, considered to be the long lost descendants of the Men-of-Ket from central Hammerfell. Ancient whispers and secrets have slowly been coming to light in the form of dreams and visions across the isles, and the player must decide what to do in the coming conflict, and who to side with, as the shadows slowly encroach upon the islands.

Apologies for the radio silence here on ModDB! We've been hard at work behind the scenes, particularly on the production and writing side of things, and haven't had a whole lot to show off recently. However, anything we do show off is posted first to our community discord server! If you haven't already, you should consider joining!

Hey all, Cathnoquey is currently looking to expand our team a bit!

If you've been looking to join the project, but couldn't find the recruitment form, we'd love to hear from you and see what you've got! Cathnoquey is currently in a preproduction state, focusing on the stories and visuals of the island, and as such we haven't started level design or principle asset production. However, we are hoping to be able to start level design between January and March of 2022, and principle assets production in July or August of this year!

Right now we're particularly looking for 2D artists and writers, but we're also looking for gameplay implementers! Assets and level design are not actively recruiting at the moment, but we'd love to bring you in before we fully start production!
