Nuor has been working on a new relations tab which should be handy for people playing with dynamic relations or warfare. Alundaio has added new script features for modders to add their own PDA tabs, this being one such example.

Picture was taken of a player in Duty faction.

Awesome, just what I'd like to have for my new(ish) playthrough. Will it be a simple script add-on or are there going to be texture files, too?

All of the textures you'd need for an interface already exist in the database files unless you wanted to add anything custom.

You'd need to look at pda.script and ui_pda_relations_tab.script for reference on how to add and build new tabs, plus the accompanying xml file for all component info.

Perfectly! You are the best team. Would you like to add the tab "Encyclopedia" of SoŠ”? I've always dreamed about this.

Why is Freedom against Clear Sky?

Freedom is an anarchist group simply believing this zone is for everyone. Clear Sky is an independent research group, they are trying to study the zone. I would believe Freedom would get in the way of Clear Sky researching the zone

That doesn't make sense, they're not trying to destroy the zone, by that logic freedom should be against ecologist

The lore (iirc) is that Clear Sky are looking to destroy or contain the Zone. From the Wikia page:
"The Clear Sky faction was originally composed of former researchers of the C-Consciousness who broke away from them in order to conduct their own research on how to either destroy or contain the zone."
So of course Freedom is gonna be against them.

In the original lore (Shadow of Chernobyl) Freedom are against the Ecologists. Freedom's goal in SoC is not to understand the Zone like the scientists or ClearSky. They want people to have free access and be "at one" with the Zone, because they believe respecting the Zone will make it respect you back.

Mudhut Freedom was against ecologist in Shadow of Chernobyl. Please ignore Call of Pripyat relations, they are totally bogus and ******** because of the design problem of only having three maps and 1 central hub per map, they had no choice but to make everyone neutral.

Relations in CoC were done with careful consideration of the original ShoC lore while making some decisions to allow more balanced gameplay when picking certain factions or to keep factions from being clones of one another. Like for example, making ecologists neutral to Freedom so that they can get the psy helmet and instead making Clear Sky enemies because they were founded by the scientists who created the Zone in the first place.

Yup, you guys have done an excellent job with relation choices. I remember the only thing I used to change in Call of Chernobyl was relations for Bandit players (to give them at least 1 ally.). Now that Freedom are my buddies, I'm good to go with a complete vanilla Call of Chernobyl experience. Every faction has at least one faction not out for their blood. Except, of course, the Monolith. But I assume Monolith players wouldn't have it any other way. :)

Why is player faction added, is it just there only in tab.
And why are Loners friendly to eachother, shouldn't they be neutral between themselvs.

That is the actor_* faction which is often slightly different than the regular faction. So in a case of actor as Loner it would be actor_stalker relations to the various other factions.

You commented only 10 minutes too soon: Moddb.com

Maybe encyclopedia will be added later, it's a lot of work to write all of the articles for every level, location, vehicle, anomaly etc.

I like how the encyclopedia looked in ShoC. It was actually very informative and I loved how it talked about anomalies. I guess a cool thing to do is to talk about the major anomaly spots throughout the zone.

Just curious, can an NPC's reputation change? I'm trying to change my lone companions 'Bad' reputation to something better by getting him to kill enemy factions, just wondering if change is possible?
