Would it be possible to re-add the original CoP quests (storyline), in this sandbox? Starts when the player enters Zaton and explores any of the helicopters. The faction is not a problem. Cut scenes in which there is a clear statement of "Major Degtyarev" and "Military" are removed (for immersion) and there is no evacuation quest (or unless somebody is skilled in making quests to throw a curveball on it). The story would only span Jupiter,Pripyat and Zaton (+ Pripyat underground) and would be available to all but Monolith faction. The story would not be Operation Fairway or anything like that, just the plain old Stalker, Dutier, Freedomer, CSky, Military, Eco friendly - guy discovering crashed helicopters and then uncovering Gauss rifle experiments, and coming to a conclusion that the anomaly fields move around (DocX dynamic anomalies).

Would such a thing be possible? I've never worked on X-ray or this game but I do know C++, C and Assembly, and have started dabbling in Unreal Engine.

Thoughts?

There's no reason why you couldn't put the original CoP storyline back in, the only issue is it would be a ton of work to recreate everything that was cut out for CoC. Basically you would be rebuilding it from scratch.

For Questlines 2.0 I've been adding a lot of tasks that are homages to CoP and SHoC tasks, like the Noah jump task, investigating the helicopter crash sites, Gauss rifle, etc. Not exact copies, but similar experience to the classics.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering. I know that all the static objects are there but without any strings attached to them. Your DocX Questlines are brilliant, so thanks for that. I don't really care if the quest are exact or even remotely associated with CoP or SHoC, just as long as there is some lore behind them. Crashed helis -> moving anomalies, Gauss -> experiments in labs, etc. I'd like to start adding quests of my own to CoC but have no clue whatsoever where to start. I've seen multiple SDKs and utility programs but since I have enough on my plate already (university physics projects that take up most of my time), I would like to add X-ray modding as a side leisure hobby.
