So I've been mulling over a few ways to make this more interactive as well as making the game feel more immersive the way Misery mod feels. Yes. I know. This is not Misery mod. But these are not in MM either >;P

1- "Wanted"

After talking to various people. It has been found out that there is a bounty on your head. You need to either lie low some place for awhile or risk being seen and shot at for the bounty. Whatever you did to some one or some faction really made an impression...

Goal =

-Wait for the timer(1-3 days) to run out and whoever placed that bounty may retract the bounty. 50/50 chance for each day after the 3rd day.

-Talk to the vendors and other stalkers who are not trying to kill you to find out who placed the bounty...and kill him instead!

-If the bounty was placed by an entire faction. Go to a vendor and ask if they can be paid to settle the bounty dispute.

Keep in mind some stalkers within neutral/friendly factions may turn on you when they see you and try to kill you. Companion followers however won't.

2- "Get me Through"

NPC's that are alone(single; friends just got shot dead) may ask you for escort when you talk to them. Usually to a friendly faction location area. The longer the journey the more cash they may offer. Items may also be given instead to pay for travel.

3- "Spare Change"

Help a stalker out! Of several ways to do so financially. Make a friend...or at least someone less likely to kill you >_>

-Some one you talk to has a debt to be payed. You can offer to pay it.

-NPC needs to send money back home for whatever reason. You may offer to pay for that.

-NPC maybe payed to stand guard at a location up to the maximum of companions the player is allowed

-NPC can be payed for a short term companion contract...with insurance for their family. If they die, you pay an automatic 3 times the cost. If they live you talk to them and get back the difference.

4- "I Can't Fix Everything!"

All technicians can do certain jobs. Level 1 all can do. Level 2 & 3 mods are different for each technician. The gaps in each technician can be looted off dead stalkers and found as loot. Also maybe obtained via found PDAs if read. Which then lowers their value if read. Higher value if sold without reading them.

Caveat ideas:

-Stop this non-sense regarding destructible boxes having loot. I see no point in these having anything of value that other stalkers would not have already looted. Use them primarily as obstacles and platforms PLEASE!

-Make cats die easier than dogs. Seriously! We shouldn't have to unload entire clips into a friggin cat and it STILL lives! >_<

-Shooting any where near even neutral and friendly stalkers does nothing to annoy/trigger a "TAKE COVER!" response. This is damn silly. If someone you trusted shot at you, you would be pissed off.

-Do the Misery mod thing on top of COC...because adding atmosphere and realism to this game can only help, not hinder. One major detail, the lighting. Head lamps should shine further away. Looking down a hall and NOT seeing that snork is silly! >_<

Yes! I actually had the same idea and plan on implementing this in the next version of Questlines.

Another one I was thinking of doing. I think there was an addon a while back that did this.

3- "Spare Change"

Meh, don't really like this one but it would be easy to do. I already have the framework set up for a give money task in Questlines, it's the task you get when you ask to change factions.

Stop this non-sense regarding destructible boxes having loot

Agreed. I just started a new playthrough and did my ritual of looting Rookie Village. I started thinking, why would all this stuff still be here?

We shouldn't have to unload entire clips into a friggin cat and it STILL lives!

OMG I hate the damn cats. It is rediculous. I wonder if the mindset behind that was a TIC "cats have nine lives" thing.

Head lamps should shine further away

There is an addon that does this, and it is incorporated into CoC 1.5

Great ideas! If you have any more post em! I'm looking to add a lot more variety of tasks to the next version of Questlines.

If I have more thoughts I'll postem.

"Delivery man"

Basically, transportation of goods. It can be documents, PDA, packages, etc. Was majorly thinking about transaction between traders of the Zone, where they need someone trustworthy to deliver the goods, but i later though it could go to other mission givers like Lukash, Sultan, etc. Similar to the "Deliver PDA to Nimble" mission.

"Interceptor"

You need to steal the content that the delivery man is carrying.

"Delivery man"

Yup. Had the same thought. Should be easy to do.

"Interceptor"

Now that's cool. Perfect task for Bandits. Not sure how I'd implement it but I should be able to come up with something.

Here's a couple of ideas of my own that I'll contribute:

"Ambush"

A given faction leader has discovered that members of a hostile faction have agreed to meet with one of their 'agents' at a certain place to exchange information, unaware that said person was a mole for the faction that's giving this task. The objective is simple: travel to the specified location and be there at the specified time, then assassinate everyone involved (except for the mole, of course)

"Deserter"

Duty, Military, or Mercenary factions only. Simply put, your job is to track down and eliminate a deserter at a specific location (who for the sake of preventing a loss in faction rep would probably be added to a hostile faction like the Bandits or Monolith, but would otherwise wear their normal faction-specific gear.

"Shakedown"

Bandit faction only. One of the traders in the Zone hasn't been paying their protection fees to Sultan. Teach them a lesson by murdering one of their couriers - anything you find on them is yours to keep. Be warned though, these runners never travel alone, so expect them to have heavily armed and armored escorts.

"Patch Hunt"

"I don't have anything specific, but I'll tell you what: Kill at least X (hostile faction here) members and bring me their patches. I will compensate you for 5x the base price of each patch."

Actually, a better suggestion for Patch Hunt would be to add a dialogue menu similar to the PDA selling one, where you can turn in faction patches to your chosen leader whenever you have them rather than this being a handed-out quest. Hostile factions net you 10x base value per patch and some rep, Neutral factions earn you 3x base price plus some rep plus a minuscule amount of rep with that faction, your faction will net you some rep but only 1x money. (You're basically informing them of deaths in the family).

Either way, something to do with these faction patches besides sell them to traders normally would be greatly appreciated.

Ah yes! I had wanted to do something with the patches a long time ago then completely forgot about it.

What about a mission where you try to smooth things out with a faction that hates you?

I'm currently having issues with Duty, which seems to permanently hate me for some unknown reason.

I've changed the mechs a little bit. First I imported items from Last day like parts, weapon oil and stuff like that and I've changed the conditions for the mechs. You have to bring them tools and some items in order to get them working on your weapons and suits/helmets.

I also added missions to gather more materials to get a better bonus. Makes things a bit more spicy.

And I changed the repairkits in the way that you need to have suitable items for a repair. So without any spareparts, weapon oil or sewing kits you won't be able to fix stuff.

It took sime time but was worth the effort^^

For some new missions I've added weapon creates which the player needs to pick up. The are quite heavy so the player gets a squad to support him carry the stuff. If the squad dies the mission will fail. If you return to the quest giver with the squad the mission is completed.

Second type of job is to escort a squad to a smart so they can start on research the place. The smart needs to be cleaned and the squad have ro survive the journey.

There are a lot of good ideas here. I will have a closer look at them and maybe start to get them also available in the game.

What about a mission to find damaged version of certain weapons?

In the modification Dolina Shorohov, there is this gameplay mechanic where one can leave parts of a gun in a certain box for the stalker mechanic to look at and use for spare parts. He then gives you some cash from the weapons, not a lot though. He supposedly used them for parts and they are removed from the game world, player gets cash.

A small repeatable mission?

Would it be possible to add extra missions in a current game?

Jul 26 2018 Anchor

Of course... my mod got about ~250 new missions. Dynamic missions are easy but I also got ~100 completely new ones. Missions can be added most of the time 'on the fly' even between some saved games.

Jul 27 2018 Anchor

Which mission addons do you use?

Jul 27 2018 Anchor

None. All done by myself ;)
