C42:Contact is a remake of Colony 42, an unfinished Half-Life mod by Notewell. The mod puts the player in the role of Oscar Guthrie, a member of the colony's maintenance division, as first contact is made with a less than amiable race.
Based off of feedback from the previous two in-game shots, as well as my own feelings towards the areas, I have now retextured the storage deck.
I feel that this new texture set really helps to get away from the Black Mesa aesthetic of the previous versions of the images. There are a couple of textures still to be replaced, but hopefully this looks a little bit less like the standard Half-Life design.
Looks rather good but still empty somewhat. Perhaps add some advertisement posters or dirt, papers etc. onto the ground. Looks a bit to sterile for my taste.
That scientist looks real stylin' and I'm digging the lighting in here!
