C42:Contact is a remake of Colony 42, an unfinished Half-Life mod by Notewell. The mod puts the player in the role of Oscar Guthrie, a member of the colony's maintenance division, as first contact is made with a less than amiable race.
The commanders room in the original mod was little more than a side room, and the command computer was just a laptop. I wanted to give the the idea that this level is responsible for running the station, so the commander's room is filled with computer terminals and consoles. His desk is also facing the door now, rather than away from it. No bookshelf here either. Books belong in the archive!
And let's not forget your boss, working dutifully away at trying to fix the endless problems on the station, right up to the commander's personal computer. Charleston LeBlanc, formerly known as Charlie Blanks. I just felt the name could use some tweaking to be a little more memorable.
