A mod for Doom II inspired by Brutal Doom, but this time "brutalizing" Wolfenstein 3D by adding new weapons, enemies, textures, animations, and of course, gore. Lots of it. That's not all though -- the maps from the original game are being redesigned too. Note: I'm not the mod's developer. Credit goes to Zio McCall for the concept, development, as well as the various contributors. I just felt that this mod needed a place here.

I guess you're not making remakes of the other episodes then?

He already said he is no longer working on it. His version is "final". However, the creator of Brutal Doom is taking over this project so there will most likely be amazing updates at some point. Maybe he will also add the other episodes but probably first he will iron out the main gameplay and all.

I installed latest version, plus hi-res texture pack, using latest GZDoom, but I have broken textures, like big and blocky ones, like upper left corners of the textures for doors. What am I doing wrong?

OOPS, I used IWAD from Doom 1. I switched to Doom 2 and it works like charm. AWESOME MOD! And it's pretty hard even on "bring'em on". Well... It's brutal! ;)

Word of advice dont try this mod with the wolfenDoom wads, it has some weird behaviour like making soldiers explode when shooting them with a rifle.

The game is too laggy. It has low fps and constantly freezes, and I die because of it. Great mod otherwise.

When i'm trying to launch it with Zandronum 3.0, it gives me an error like this:

Execution could not continue.

Script error, "ZMC-BWFinal.pk3:actors/maps/mapprops.txt" line 2498:
Expected ')', got ','.

So, can anyone help? How do i make it work or what?

I am not exactly the biggest fan of Brutal Doom as I prefer mostly unmodified Doom, but I have to give credit where credit is due, Brutal Wolfenstein 3D is awesome fun to play. While Wolfenstein 3D's levels are a bit of sore to play, Brutal Wolfenstein's gameplay helps making those samey boring levels more dynamic and fun with the gameplay, and some of the map touches are nice, but even better on V5.0 from what I've seen on the demo! Brutal Wolfenstein makes the original game feel fresh and new…
