Following the GZDoom port of Doom 64, BD-64 revitalizes the old Doom 64 with new special effects, particles, lightning, gore, new sounds, more weapon animations (shotgun reloads, smoother minigun barrels, etc.) and monsters and stuff cut from the original Nintendo 64 version. Works on GZDoom and Zandronum in OpenGL mode. (Zdoom and Zandronum Software mode are not supported.) No downloads available yet. Mod still is very early WIP.

i like the sound of melee not alerting enemies.
i wander if we will ever see a 100% stealth melee playthrough or speedrun, if its even possible lol
When I start a new game in tactical, it still says chaingun instead of assault rifle.
I forgot to do Tactical mode when I made this, I'll update it soon to fix that.
Okay, just updated the file.
All of the changes listed have been added to the weapons in Tactical mode, along with changing the Unmaker's pickup text.
Thanks, this patch is much needed to fix the melee problem. Is it also possible to fix the picking up of weapons after reaching maximum ammo. Strangely this only affects dropped weapons and not ammo packs.
Before I download this, I'm curious: does this revamp any of the animations, per chance (like adding a "**** when empty" to the tactical rifle's reload)?
