The mod “Blitzkrieg 2.5” is a joint project created from "mod 905" by "alfahamsin" and "mod v12" by "StroibatII" with the goal of improving the original game in many ways and significantly increasing the level of realism. The modification covers exclusively the era of the Second World War.
- Changes the characteristics of the units and the entire game to a whole new, high level of realism and a unique atmosphere
- New high-quality equipment and vehicle models (Land, Air and Sea)
- New high-quality textures
- New and revised sound effects
- The mod features 8 custom campaigns and a set of custom missions
- The mod is fully compatible with the original campaigns and missions and offers a new, realistic gaming experience
- Detailed installation instructions can be found in the corresponding mod manuals and in the readme files included in each download package.
- The translation work (Russian to English) for some custom campaigns, missions and units is not yet fully completed (work in progress), therefore the concerned letters/characters (Cyrillic) are only displayed as boxes or vertical bars!

we would like to inform you that the Full Installer of the modification has been updated to version 2.2.12a and is ready for download!
All previously released updates/patches have been integrated into the current version.
Players who are still in possession of the old Full Installer with version 2.2.8ab can download and install the cumulative update 2.2.12a to bring their mod installation up to date.
Note: The "Optional-AI_MOD_64cd.pak" file is optional mod content and is now included in Full Installer package.

Last but not least we would like to point out that all manuals (ENG & RUS) have been improved and updated as well.

Hello Blitzkrieg 2 comrades, unfortunately, an error has crept in and we have to ask you to remove (or not to install) the file "Patch_64c.pak" (obsolete Version). The file is located in the "Data" directory of Blitzkrieg 2.5
Default directory path: "C:\Games\Blitzkrieg 2.5\Data"
Attention, this only applies to Blitzkrieg 2.5 versions (Full Installers) downloaded before 15.04.2023!
The current downloadable Full Installers (ENG & RUS) have already been updated!
A new version of "Patch_64" is available and has been renamed to "Patch_64cd.pak". This new version is optional mod content and can be downloaded separately (check out the links of the BK 2.5 Full Installers on the main page).

- All new features and previous patches for Blitzkrieg 2.5 have been merged into a new version (2.2.8ab) with a comfortable Full Installer (SFX / self-extracting archive)
- Two language versions of Blitzkrieg 2.5 are now available
If you have already downloaded and installed the old mod version (downloaded before February 26, 2023), we recommend you to completely uninstall the old version and replace (reinstall) it with the newest!

Your monitor does not support 1920x1200 resolution. delete the "water" and "Игрок" folders from the "profiles" directory.
The translation seems incomplete, lots of Russian still in the English version. Some campaigns completely in Russian and some with random spotty Russian.
Yes, the translation is incomplete. now that the work on the updates is finished, I will take on the translation. the first in line is the addon "Stalingrad" for Germany.
Hello, i want to thank you very much for this mod, ive always wanted to have all BK2 games in one, like an anthology, also the sounds and textures are amazing!
I have a few questions:
-I have not seen the Tobruk Allied campaign(the german one is in custom missions), or both Normandy campaigns, will they be added in the future?
-I have noticed a lack of units from anthologies (romanian, italian, british etc.); i hope these too will be added (maybe new other units, like japanese, or new factions, like finnish, hungarian etc.) to have the ultimate experience

Hello! Thank you for your review! addons "Battle for Tobruk" and "Normandy Landing" were released on heavily modified engines. This is especially true for Normandy. The missions from the German Tobruk campaign are completely re-scripted. This is no small job. Taken by me from another mod. Campaign for the Allies is not yet available. addon Landing in Normandy will not be able to add to the mod. It is made separately, but not yet finalized. As for the units of the satellite countries of Germany, unfortunately there are no missions for their use. If someone has a desire to make maps for the mod, I will be very happy.
I would say this mod is the best mod ever. It integrates all campion and battel but it also modify the units with its
own style. I also see some changes in the map make it become more realistic and challenging. Thanks for your work.
