Hellloooo, ModDB. We've got a bit of an important update regarding the status of the mod, so strap in!
Well, it seems we've been beaten to the punch to this update. The last few weeks we've been accepting a few last Alpha testers before we dive into Beta. Most weren't very productive (despite giving solid interviews and even a resume or two), which is where we thought it had ended. Well, it seems they only wanted in for the sake of checking out and leaking our humble little mod before it was ready, and before we could even make our special announcement, no less! So, since the cat's already out of the bag, we'll go ahead and officially give you the big news a few months early!
These last few months have been gruelling, with choreography the largest remaining component to completion, and no choreographers. We've searched high and low, but to no avail. This has prompted us to make an important decision, and one we certainly don't make lightly: We've decided to change genres of the Black Mesa Hazard Course!
That's right, first-person shooting training? Who needs that these days?! It's overdone and we don't have a lot of options at this point. We've decided to change course (ha!) and go for a point and click horror mod, in the vein of recently popular series Five Nights at Freddy's! Feast your eyes!
We currently have a trailer in the works, however we weren't anticipating this rushed announcement. In its place, we present the first official Five nights at Hazard Course Gameplay Footage
We think it speaks for itself.
Revamped, reworked, improved, and with a thrilling new direction, Five Nights at Hazard Course will be aimed to appeal not only Half-Life series veterans, but in addition, the exceedingly large Let's Play community. We feel this change is for the best, since as we all know, attempting to appeal to a larger audience means a better final product overall.
We hope you're as excited about the change as we are, and hope to have it in your hands before the year's out. Have a nice spring.
Until next update!
Ohohohoh
Hahahaha I know it's April Fools.
im so glad were getting another five nights game!!!! i hope the trailer comes out soon!!
heres the leak video if anyone else cant wait for the trailer like me!!
hahahah genuis, nice one april joke but im not from yesterday, it would be hilarious if they did bring out this joke mod: five nights at hazard course.
i would rate it 10/10 and laugh my *** of.
I like the idea, but the graphics still look too modern. You should replace Source with Flash or whatever FNAF uses.
I don't get how this will be fitting for the rest of Black Mesa, though. Did you get the BM developers to make this change with you?? That would be amazing!
That would be ClickTeam Fusion.
We're looking into implementing new post-processing shaders to give the game more of a "retro video" look without interfering with the fidelity of the game too much.
Ooooo
Wow,are you gonna implement the AF easter egg into the game as well?
Is the flashlight battery gonna share power with the cameras? Will there be a flashlight?
It uses the 90s 2.5D generic-o engine,I believe.
Can't wait! Will you implement a flashlight, also connected to power sources?
Nice one sir!
10/10
Brilliant!
That's why I love April. :D
Well done :D
2. April
Better be fake I swear to god.
It's real.
PANIC
i want zombies to become animatronics, at least a retexture that makes them kinda metal-ish or something like that'd be nice. Also nice idea lol
I mean since you're keeping the bm theme meaybe its unnececary lel
