Black Mesa: Hazard Course is an add-on for the well known Source Engine mod, Black Mesa. Using Black Mesa assets as well as much of our own custom made content, Black Mesa Hazard Course will feature a complete re-creation of Half-Life's training level, including new dialogue and voice acting, HD models, textures and detailed environments.

I Just finished it. ******' Amazing! I didn't expect taking the train into the training facility while hearing the Black Mesa Theme that's been sitting in the soundtrack since day one yet never got used, it's nice listening to it when you're outside looking around at everything and just going "wow! :)"

The reference to the PS2 release at the start was the best, even better then in the original, it was so cool hearing the scientist hilariously going over Gordon's file - I almost had a serious case of death by laughter, lol-jk :D

The target range was awesome as well, shooting targets at long range with just a glock, neat idea - funny how I'm not supposed to be there, they all got caught off guard just because apparently someone made an error when specifying what I should be trained for, yet they still let me go through "Fire Arms 101" - Nice xD

The ending sequence was cool, meeting all the scientists again felt like this mod just said "hey, let's make the whole thing feel alive as if it actually happened for real" rather then what Half-Life did, where they treated the training course as if they said "hey, you know this is just a video game - right ?"

This mod is the best thing I've played for BM in a while, can't wait for the steam release!

I was really impressed with the recreation of the Half-Life tutorial mode and I just want to get it out of the way there are some minor graphical pop in/outs and the hologram character had less ploys then the black mesa models. The Black Mesa models have far greater detail plus it's a hologram so I wasn't inspecting too much from it.

Ok with that out of the way your team attention to detail even though some of the assets are from Black Mesa but that's the thing you guys kept it consistent it felt like the original Half-Life layout with Black Mesa flare :D

It was a very good experience compared to a training level.

Pros:

Has it's own voice actors.
It looks amazing. (New models, good lighting)
Extended the original in clever ways.

Cons:

Not working with the retail version.

Very nice. I laike new npc that shoot you if u try to kill them .Vey good light on all maps . Really quick loading of the maps

This is a very good re-make of Hazard Course.

An excellent recreation of the Hazard Course from Half-life 1 that, in true Black Mesa fashion, expands upon the original by adding beautiful vistas, exploring the possible lore involving the Hazard Course and satisfying our curiosity regarding what lies beyond the areas we can't access.

An instructional mod that accurately teaches you about mechanics unique to the Source engine, and that acknowledges some of your actions with humor and wit.

It was lovely mod
