Hello dear mod followers/supporters!
It's been a long while since I've done a developers blog for Bellum Imperii, this didn't really have a specific reason. But now it's time for one. Here I'll talk a bit about the progress being made on the 1.3 version and the content of it.
Scening Front
As we all know, 1.3 is on it's way. A lot of progress was made the past couple of weeks on the scening front. Which was aimed at having more unique scenes. Which are to replace the old 'brytenwalda' ones or the other placeholders.
So far the cities of Syracuse, Cyrene and Hatra have been made, as they have been previewed on this page. And are nearly finished. In the next weeks there will possibly be some new towns made depending on the speed of the rest of the planned content to be finished for 1.3. (Mainly coding) Apart from that you could all have seen the new scene that Akathir made who also has thrown in his best efforts once again!
New factions
On the new factions, as you guys might have seen. There have been several previews that showed the new factions on the campaign map and some of it's new troops. These new factions will be the major part of the new content that you will get in 1.3 As there are up to 8 new factions in the East and Middle-East. Here a complete list of the new factions.
- Kushan Empire
- Alans (Steppe Nomads)
- Dahae (Steppe Nomads)
- Bosporan Kingdom
- Kingdom of Saba (Arabian)
- Kingdom of Gerrha (Arabian)
- Mazun (Arabian)
Some of these new factions will receive unique troop trees. Like the Kushan Empire and the Bosporan Kingdom, the others will mainly have a similar troop tree as their cultural neighbours. Next to this faction expansion. There has also been an expansion on the Parthians, which contains up to 3 new towns, 6 castles and around 20 villages to the East of it's current location.
So that's it about some of it new update's content. For the rest it's fixing current issues that were reported, and a little note about the formations. Once again, I have to regretfully report that I have not yet found the issue and it will most likely not be fixed in the next version.
Everyone thanks for the shown support in the past and stay tuned for 1.3. Although I have no release date yet. :P
Cheers
Gokiller
