This is a battle map pack for Third Age: Total War, an expansion of Medieval 2: Total War. It will feature 8 Maps, for both multi and single player use of Third Age: Total war, a lord of the rings mod for Medieval 2: Total War. Confirmed Maps so far are: - Helms Deep This is the battle featured in the FILM, not the book. This is simply to make the battle more interesting and playable with 2 players. The battle in the book ends up very unbalanced in M2TW, no fault of the book. - The Battle for Moria Ages before the start of the books, Durin was driven from the halls of Khazad Dum by a horde of goblins. This attempts to recreate that, featuring 4 players in a siege/battle. The Balrog is not featured, for balancing reasons. Pelennor Fields - Work in progress. This is a challenge, especially to make playable with reinforcements.

- Ambush at Ithilien
A small detachment of Gondorian troops is on its way to Osgiliath, travelling along the river, when they are ambushed by Haradrim Troops! A larger detachment of rangers and archers are seperated from a detachment of heavy infantry, and must try and unite to win the battle, or hold off until their support arrives.

ATM the pic's look awsome except the map just does not fit in with the theme of middle earth, it looks plain and boring. And the fact that we've had one team mapping to a high unique standard its difficult for us to accept other maps which are lacking in quality, tho i hope it improves. - Texture quality. Terrain, Lighting, shades all need to be adressed. And btw, Mt Doom has lava.
I am searching for a better location for the orodruin map, however M2TW does not have lava incorporated into it.
The textures are better, I was playing on lower settings to make the game run faster, the map pack does not modify the look of the terrain, but in future i will take screenshots in the highest quality possible.
how or where can i download it ?
