What a positively gorgeous map, Gizmotron. I love it very much. The aircraft suit it well, though I am wondering how cost-efficient these lovely little biplanes really will be most of the time. I have not installed the mod yet, of course, though I intend to once I finish my playthrough of your old mod. Then I suppose I will see for myself.

Description

Airfields now have more than one denizen type. although, I'm still ironing things out as I go. this is an early-war Soviet airfield that includes two new units: the Polikarpov Po-2 recon/ground attack biplane and the Sukhoi Su-2 dive bomber. I realized that this could help me balance out some of the early-war maps by giving airfields a better variety of planes. this is especially true for aircraft carriers. some British aircraft carriers will have Fairey Swordfish biplanes that can attack with either bombs, rockets, or torpedoes. the tricky part is that you have to keep track of which one is the torpedo bomber so that you don't waste that money on ground targets! generally I always save the torpedo bomber for last. so, unless you're sending out more than three or four airstrkes at a time from same carrier you shoulnd't have to worry.
