Urban maps are always exciting. I'm curious though, have you made it so city terrain appears differently on the minimap? Looking at it in your screenshots, it appears you've done this.

It is something I have done myself, as it is very useful information for the player, but it raises another question here as it appears some cities (towns?) on the minimap do not have city terrain, if that is indeed what the grey splotches on the minimap are. Is this a common thing with smaller towns and villages and the like in the mod? Not having the city terrain?

no, I didn't make any changes to the city terrain. the reason why it looks different here is because I'm using one of my new "universal biomes". I used the boreal tundra city terrain while most of the map uses temperate and chaparral terrain. this makes the dense urban areas stand more than they would on a normal map.

I might not have the new Polish campaign ready in time for the next upload. but I'll be sure to include some of the maps so players can try them out.

Description

I've updated the early war German airfields to include the Junkers Ju-86, the Henschel Hs-123, and the Dornier Do-17. I made a Warsaw map in 2019 that will get used a three or four scenario maps. here I'm doing a test run for Goering's Luftwaffe as it attempts to track down and destroy the defending Polish airfields.

right now the Siege of Warsaw is 5 Germans versus 6 Polish defenders. I intentionally gave the Poles a slight advantage in numbers so that it's not a cake-walk for the Germans.

[I can't remember if I posted pictures of Warsaw earlier.. it's a pretty big map, so nobody should expect a quick and easy victory]

you can see the new 'fort' model that we're using in the upper-left hand corner near Wola. it's basically an upscaled Japanese MG bunker with a machine gun on each of the five sides. infantry will jump out and attack nearby enemy troops, and they'll show up to shoot at enemy aircraft flying overhead as well.

I'm sure anybody who's been to Warsaw will know that it doesn't look like this.. but I did use five or six different maps as a reference to try and make this one worthy of lots of replay value.
