I'm currently working on a Graphics Mod to improve the visuals of the original Assassin's Creed (2007) by injecting high resolution textures in place of the default ones. All the new textures will be 9 times the original Resolutions of the game(The default ones which are of merely 512x512 in 70% of the cases & rest of them having inferior resolution & very few of the rest 1024x1024) so visuals are going to be noticeably better in close inspection. I've just finished working on walls, fabrics, woods, doors of the Damascus city Poor District (still much more to modify). I will be trying to change those textures which are possible to edit & those which look bad. I'll be working on these -
7.Doors & Windows & Almost everything possible
Here are the screenshots of my work. All screenshots are taken at highest setting at 8x Supersampled & with HBAO at Ultra from AMD RadeonPro.
The Main motto & Features of this MOD are -
1. Bring the old AC to its modern day counterparts as close as possible
2. While maintaining highest quality visuals,it's also taken care that the MOD doesn't become too hard to drive
3. Keeping the original feel of the game i.e. the color tone of every texture is kept as the original game (as I think the original game's tone was very accurate.) but they are replaced with textures having 9x resolution of the original one.
4. Every single textures has been painstakingly Normal-Mapped so they reflect light in-game realistically. So every single texture you see, replaces the original light reflection of each textures in the game.
(Further Improvements/Updates will be updated regularly)
