A.R.E.A. is a standalone project based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy. The project affects all aspects of the game with no exceptions, improving their quality and diversity. The main goal was to create a more realistic Exclusion Zone, where each trip will be a unique and rough experience.

Added depth of field for inventory, pda, and containers. Added smooth crouch and slope of the character, changed the angle on the slopes so that it was impossible to shoot everything around the corner. Corrected the animation of torso rotation when running from the 3rd person, now looks more smoothly. The function of lifting items has changed. Now you can not pick up a lot of items at once, since the character has only 2 hands and he begins to drop things. Added a lot of different sound profiles for items as they are raised or moved. Bolt, knife and grenade now have draw and holster sounds, and the bolt finally became a bolt and works properly. Flash drive with hacking program can be installed only if you have a working smartphone (PDA). Same when trying to withdraw money from the NPS account. Wooden boxes and other now do not break from 2 bullets or two hits from a knife, they need a tool like a hammer or a scrap to broke easely.
This video was recorded intentionally on an old PC configuration, so that you can compare it will run on your system. CPU: Intel Core 2 E7400, RAM: 4GB DDR2, VGA: GeForce GTS 150, FullHD, extreme settings, FXAA, 2K shadows map = ~ 30 FPS (-5 fps while recording FullHD).
