Amnesia: Home From Work v2.1
Demothis is version 2.1 of (Amnesia: Home From Work) and it is finally in Demo stage!
This mod used to be known as "Amnesia: Lost In The Forest" in march of this year, but I decided to change it because it didn't fit the theme. If you notice any bugs, please let me know because this custom story is basically just a test (but in a story),If this does well or decent enough, this will prove that I have what it takes to be a custom story maker and I will make this a full fletched story. I am also very new to scripting/custom story making/modding and what-not so please don't be harsh, I'm not experienced at this, not even the slightest Thank You! PS- I put a little bowling alley in the map, and something sinister lies in the basement.

Dark Craft Studios Presents The Shadow of the Ramlord, a story-first Lovecraftian Horror Custom Story.
For some reason the mod decided to glitch out and It broke the game entirely. Since I can't fix it I've decided today to start working on a new and better mod/custom story.
Edits like changing lantern model/properties or reworking sanity system should be made within full conversion mod, not custom story so all these changes affect only your mod, not all of them. I don't think you need to create fc just yet, but if you really want custom lantern you should think about it. As for a ghoul there shouldn't be any problem using it in a cs. You actually don't have to put the ghoul files in root entities folder, that's only for level editor. Game will work just fine having all files only in your cs folder, and that's all regular players need
Thanks for the feedback, I'm trying to figure out how to make it built into my mod but the creator doesn't know how or if it would work as part of a separate mod.
Finished it
Well, good to start from saying the in-game title for this mod is still lost in the forest
I honestly don't know what to say since I played this mod like half a year ago and only 1 small map was added, even the same clipping walls are here. If that happens add 0.001 to X,Z axis if it's clipping vertically or to Y if horizontally. (like floor or ceiling)
There's still no music, all puzzles are looking for keys, I had to use level editor to find the one in a small gap behind the library shelf. As you asked I'm not gonna be harsh but if the puzzle is a key behind some random object or on top of a shelf, consider not having any puzzle at all or just putting the key on top or inside a desk, I guarantee you players will prefer that
Monster is walking along his pathnodes correctly, but if enemy is present in the level you should place nodes in every room. Those are not only to show enemy where to patrol, but also how it should chase you. If there's none then it will run straight, most likely getting stuck on wall or some table.
Design is overall not bad except for clipping walls, the way you used door frames as shelves is also nice. Lighting could use some rework though, starting from boxlight to cover the entire area(not always needed, but in bright areas it's just adding yourself extra work with pointlights)
But the best part of this mod your attitude, being open for help is always good, though there's not many people around to help nowadays. If you want I can help you with scripting, I'm at home almost 24/7 now and now I only sporadically help 1 person with scripting, so it shouldn't be a problem for me. Some examples of my experience on this I can send you on discord(LivajQ#8815) but I guess you could also just download my random monster survival mod and play it/analyze hps files, it's 90% rng system. Fixing maps by adding welders and some ornaments is also an option
Thanks for the feedback Livaj0, I said in the last mod that my computer broke and win corona and other things popping up, I decided to save up and finally get a decent gaming laptop as my other one was a cheap refurbished Walmart pc. I'm also very new to this and I'm trying out different things to change the puzzles up a bit. I'll also let you know if I need help.
I agree with LivajO here - everyone should have the attitude you have. Most of the people here are always delusional and in denial, but you are an exception to that. Keep this attitude up and everything will turn out well!
Thanks Shyrtexx
