What makes your modification special among the others?

One of the distinguishing features of Golden Gates 2 is an approach to the quests' construction and the story. Most of the ventures will be able to be finished in multiple different ways. There will be no deficiency of difficult choices in the game, and its consequences will be visible and felt. The game world will react accordingly to our actions. For the approbate of one party, we will have to act to the detriment of the other. Some of the quests will look different depending on choices made earlier, for example, the final boss fight. Therefore, to fully experience everything we have prepared, it will be worth finishing the modification at least twice. The game will also include numerous plot twists.

Where did the Hasisians cult come from?

Many of you are probably wondering where the Hasian cult described in the teaser came from. Well... that you will find out in the modification itself. However, we can assure you that we attach great importance to ensuring that all storylines in our mod are logical, consistent, and polished. Therefore, the appearance of a new goddess will be well implemented into the Gothic lore. We can tell you that we have prepared over 500 years of history of this cult so far.

Will we meet new and interesting characters?

Of course. One of our main priorities is to create well-made, colorful, and extraordinary characters. We can assure you many of them will be hard to forget. Throughout the modification, you will have numerous contacts with important to the main hero persons. Some of them will appear in many different quests, and you will learn more and more about them over time.

Will the game include romances?

Yes! You will be able to enter a romance with two women. Every romance contains separate quests. This will be conducted on a very high level comparable to The Witcher 3. Although this kind of activity is optional. If you want, you can be a lone wolf.

Do we have a chance to hear new soundtracks?

Yes! A completely new soundtrack with over a dozen of the author's music will be created especially for the modification. The person responsible for music is our composer Adam “Adach” Dzieżyk. For teaser purposes, a different soundtrack has been created.

Will new monsters appear in the game?

Yes! Two of them, ashbeast from the Risen game and dark ogre, appeared in a teaser. As the main story takes place on Samoa island, located far away from well-known Khorinis, every local type of monster will have a different appearance. Almost every one of them will receive a new texture, which will suit a new island climate well. You could see some of the monsters in the teaser.

Will there be new armor and weapons?

Of course. Plenty of new armor and weapons will be created for the modification. Some of them appear right now on the screenshots.

Do I need to have some knowledge from the first part of the modification?

No! You will play a new character, Morris, and the story is structured so that knowledge of the first part is not required. However, we warmly encourage you to play the first part, as there will be plenty of references. In addition, we will learn the further fate of the Nameless hero! Will we meet any familiar faces from the Gothic series?

Yes! One of the faces belongs to Milten, who also was a narrator of our teaser. As for now, the rest will remain in mystery…
