Absolute Redemption: Revised Pack
Skin Pack(This basically revises some of absolute redemption's models.) from 2020.
Story: It was written in the ancient scrolls of Xian that, during the last Crelat of Xen time, a portal would be opened between two universes and a being would cross the void and cause the second re-birth of Nihilanth, and all Xen would be drained of their lifeblood, their knowledge. And that, in this time, the Xen race would be oppressed by the armies from the far side of the portal.
It was also written that once the portal was opened, a human known as “Freeman” would cross the galactic transverse into Xen space, and set free the three sacred Telnorps, the guardians of the gate who had been captured from the ancient enemies of the Xen, the Zan from the Theldran galaxy.
And so it was that the prophecy came to pass, and the weakened Xen were powerless to resist an onslaught from the Zan. In the dawn of the first Ashaan of Xen time, the elders of the high council sanctioned an uneasy alliance with the perpetrators of the impending disaster, the Human race, in order to restore the sacred telnorps, and thus sealing the Zan gateway… forever.
The ambassador of the Alien Investigation Unit on earth was called upon to “redeem” the situation by employing the use of the very individual who had inadvertently caused the situation…
*new maps? Yes.
*new models? Few.
*new weapons? Not really.
*will I have fun? yes, at least I did.
*is it difficult? until you realise it, it is very difficult.

Does anyone know why the game softlocks on rede1m5 after passing through the baby headcrabs when you get to the cliff?
Not sure, but for anybody else having trouble, use console command "map rede1m6" to load the next map, then other commands to give your suit/weapons back. Can use impulse 101 if you're lazy, but I preferred to spent the time using "give" to get all my stuff back.
The door doesn't explode, I can't progress to next map
It seems that this version is broken. There's meant to be a door that explodes but simply, it does not. I no-clipped to the other side of the door, nothing is there? Does the mod version contain an alternate path? If so, than what it is it.
As for all I could play, the first 2 levels, the Himalayas and the Carnival, were really fun, had a good time with them. The military map, although nice looking and fun at first, gets sluggish after a bit. Just doesn't feel nice to navigate through. I'm hoping that the level (s?) after that are much better cause otherwise this is a p fun mod.
Is it possible to complete this in 2021? :) I've gotten to the part on the rooftop and I got stuck for so long that I broke down and watched a YouTube video: turns out there's a door that's supposed to blow open and that's how you get to the next area, but it never does for me. I even tried clipping through with cheat codes but there's nothing on the other side of the door (i.e. that level never even gets loaded).
I hear the voice on the radio of the guy saying something about a garage and a safe house, but I've been all over the level multiple times and I can't find any way to progress.
Also tried "map rede3m7" which did work, in the sense that it loaded the map, but now I have no weapons or HUD so the game's effectively unplayable (I tried to have a civil conversation with the soldier around the corner but he was very angry and wouldn't listen).
Try using sv_cheats 1 in the console, restart the map, and then try Impulse 101. That should give you all the tools and weapons you require to finish the mod.
is there a way to play this mod on sven coop if it is yes how ?

Hi there, I'm trying to get this working on Linux.
I've extracted the files from the .zip into my Half Life folder and "Redemption" has turned up in my Steam Library however when launching "Redemption" all I get is the vanilla Half Life menu.
Worse yet, when attempting to start a new game etc it crashes to desktop.
Am I doing something wrong here? Or is it just not possible.

Right-Click on 'Half-Life' and press Properties, then check 'Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool' and select 'Proton 5.0'. Then open Redemption and behold - it should work! This has allowed me to run any Windows Half-Life mod on Linux :)
Thank-you! I'm sorry for the lengthy delay in getting back to you (I'm blaming my email provider!) however I'll give this a go sometime soon. Thanks a bunch for getting back to me about this, this Mod was a childhood favourite of mine and I've wanted to return to it for the longest time :)
