Welcome to version 2.4, I recommend you take the time to read this readme since it tells you alot about the new units and the changes made to existing ones, also read descriptions of units in game for added help. planet descriptions will also tell you where you can build which units and give you a little history on the planets. This is not a spam and conquer mod, if you send bombers with no fighter escort they will get shredded, if you send all your fighters after two bombers across the map, the ai might counter attack your fleet while your out of position, this is a thinking mans mod... Does it have clone wars era in it?
you should get "Republic at War" mod insted

gc is still broken, but i think the next version is coming out soon. all we can do is wait and hope that the bug(?) gets fixed.
you can play republic at war or clone war v4.0, its the best for clone war era
I've played this for a while but then it crashed on the conquest. When I reloaded my save after a few seconds it crashed again. When I created a new game after a while it happened again. Crashed, but this time when I reloaded the game it took a few minutes of game play before it crashed. This occurred in ALL my games that I've played.
But I did happen to notice that a few times that it crashed just after I hear the announcement of the game "Reinforcement available" and it was really peculiar because those didn't happen during a Skirmish but during the Planetary View. (??? I'm not sure what to call it).
I don't know what to do. I like this mod can anybody help me?
You most likely ran into the unit selection bug, which is a bug in the game engine. The only fix that I know of is downloading the foc defreezer.
ok,I install this mod in the mod folder,I have the steam version.I am using a windows 8.1 64-bit laptop apu e1-2100 dualcore,1.00 ghz.
I have got the game to run but,As I progressed into the hard mode in GC ,on map 69 planets,Absolute corruption,i start out with 1 planet.
I saved all my game saves in the same file in menu by overwriting my game progress as i go.I seen bugs like ,the fighters when you spawn on space map fly in wide circles all over the map quickly,then they stop and reform where they spawn at ships or station.I have seen a unit selection bug on some space maps like ilum or coruscant.I have had an issue with not being able to move newly built units like the at-at mk 2 or a pellaeon star destroyer. at courlag or kuat.
I have decided to start over and save my game saves by not overwriting them this time.
I am wondering where to get the foc defreezer?and where to install/add this patch?
Those are both known bugs in the game. You should be able to fix the last part with this script: Moddb.com
What triggers that second bug seems to be when you move ground troops from the ground on one planet directly to another planet. From my experience, you can avoid that bug by making sure to drag ground troops to space before moving them to another planet. Hope that helps.
Whenever I try to play it, it says that the specified path does not exist. I followed the instructions though. I also have a steam version so does that affect anything?
you will have to edit the mod file path in the short cut/bat file to work for your install. if you were a using regular copy of the game on Windows 7 you would need to add program files (x86)(as well as get the windows 7 memory fix mod, if you need that DO NOT USE THE EXE THEY SUPPLY, It works but mods HATE it!!!) in place of program files. with steam you have to make it match the file path to were ever it is that steam stuck the game plus the mod file path.
I have a copy brought from gog.com. Where do I install it and how do I run it when I have done so?
To install the mod, you place the folder in:
GOG Games/Star Wars - Empire At War Gold/EAWX/Mods
and get this EmpireAtWarModLauncher_v1.1.0 this 100% works for me it does look like its back up on here maybe an update or just people been useing it alot for me it works great keeps the list of what mod you have and can use.

I have played this mod on a previous computer of mine, but cannot find the disc/code for it. I absolutely love the mod and wish to play it again. I have downloaded the steam version. I extracted the mod into a mod file and the path looks like: Program File(x86)>Steam>SteamApps>Common>Star Wars Empire at War>Mods
I downloaded the Gold Version. Please help so I can resume playing this awesome mod.
I would just get a mod launcher that works with the Steam version. Messing with the shortcuts is a huge pain, so easy to mess up.

I Placed a fleet over a world that needed corruption and when i used a bombing run from my fleet above it caused the game to crash. rip 5 hours without saves

The screenshot shows planets like Hapes and Commenor, but I can't find then in The 2.4?
Might be an older version? Don't know.
I do have an add-on that adds a bunch of planets though.

so I cant get this to work either through a mod launcher or the shortcut or by adjusting launch options for steam. Has anyone else had this problem? I keep getting some exception
First thing to check would be to make sure it is installed under /Forces of Corruption/Mods/ACM2.4/ the ACM can be named anything you want, but it cannot have spaces and must be in the Mods folder.
Make sure you have installed the RAM fix patch also, assuming you are running Windows 7 or newer with over 2 Gigs of RAM.
Other than that, you might have to run the game in some sort of compatibility mode, as it is very old and was made for Windows XP.
I have mine running on an ancient Pentium 4 machine running XP and 2 gig RAM. Surprisingly it runs great on that machine, with the exception of very large battles and huge GC maps in other mods.
For those looking to install this on a 64-bit Operating system (e.g. if you have windows 7 and beyond) here's what finally worked for me:
Follow the ACM installation instructions with one minor difference.
WITHIN the 'Mods' folder you create, create a new folder titled 'ACMV2.4' and extract the the files into that folder.
Install this mod launcher (Other launchers probably work, but this is the first one I found that definitely worked):

Extract the launcher file anywhere you please, it can be run from anywhere.
RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR!!
It may prompt you to patch Empire at War: FoC, say yes. This patch fixes the 'perception' error you may have run into when trying to start FoC (vanilla or otherwise)
Select ACMV2.4 from the list, hit launch mod and you should be good to go.

My AI doesnt work, Help Please!
I'm fairly new to the game, but I really love all the different units added by this mod. I find that the difficulty level of the "Absolute" Galactic Conquest maps to be a little too high. Still beatable on hard difficulty, and definitely a challenge, but not very fun anymore. More of a slog, really. Would anyone know if I can edit anything in the XML file to change the difficulty levels back to those of the base game?
It keeps playing regular FoC. Please somebody help. I am not good at this stuff and honestly computer stupid at this point.
I can't get this mod to work with the Steam version of the game! I had it working for me roughly a month ago, but since then I've experimented with a lot of other mods, and I came back to this one, but now I can't get past the loading screen! Since last playing this mod, I've installed to my computer the FOC Alliance mod (have no idea how to uninstall that... but other mods seem to be working for me, so I don't think that's the problem) I'm placing the mod in the mods folder, and launching the game from the Steam window.. I have properly set the Launch Options. I have no idea what's wrong here.

When I tried to download it, chrome said that it was malware. Is this normal for a mod, or is their something wrong with it. This is my first time downloading mods, so sorry if this seems like a stupid question.
There's nothing in the mod itself that can run anything, it's just files that change things in the game. Evidently somebody on the Chrome team decided to label everything on this site as malware.
Is there a ZIP version? One for steam users?

No matter what I do I can't get it to load and the mod launcher keeps popping up a error
I downloaded the mod launcher that dienekes77 suggested and it starts the game after I click play mod but the mod itself isn't loading only FoC loadsas if I clicked on it from the start menu of my windows 7.
Great mod, i love it keep updating pls <3 just make zann robots less powerfull they ar destroyng everything and i just cant stop them :D
