Welcome to version 2.4, I recommend you take the time to read this readme since it tells you alot about the new units and the changes made to existing ones, also read descriptions of units in game for added help. planet descriptions will also tell you where you can build which units and give you a little history on the planets. This is not a spam and conquer mod, if you send bombers with no fighter escort they will get shredded, if you send all your fighters after two bombers across the map, the ai might counter attack your fleet while your out of position, this is a thinking mans mod... Although there are many new units, this mod is mainly focused on improving the gameplay of FOC...it will challenge you. Thanks for playing ACM

I've played this mod for ages and I love it.
This mods adds loads of new units to the game, making it infinitely more interesting than the base game. My favourite would be the addition of the's SSD (Super Star Destroyer) class ships, like the Sovereign and the Eclipse. The mod also adds some units from the clone wars era, from the cannon fodder B1 battledroid, to the efficient machine of war that is the B3, the mod also adds vehicles from the time (but i don't remember the name :P).
The mod is not buggy for those that are wandering, though it is not very well balanced, as the consortium gets wrecked no matter what and Empire vs Rebellion is not 100% balanced either since the Empire has the Eclipse with its super laser capable of severely damaging stations and ships and the Rebellion has no real counter off there own (they do how ever have a SSD class ship of their own so they have a counter to the executor).

Hope my review helped (plz don't get ****** at me if i got some name wrong).

This and z3r0x 3.5 are far and away the two best pure content mods out there. They add a lot of new features and content while respecting the built-in limitations of the original game. There are no major bug issues, and the gameplay logic is continuous with the standard EAW formula, making this a perfect mod for casual gamers who are looking for some extra content but don't want to bother figuring out a new mode of gameplay.

Even though it is nearly 10 years old, ACM mod has held up remarkably well and is still better than 90% of what has come after it. It has tons of replay value and has remained one of my go-to mods ever since it first came out. Beginners out there who are learning to mod and want to see good examples of how it should be done ought to look over the xmls for this mod, because they will get to see excellent examples of clean, easy to follow, mistake free coding. The developer proves by example that you can re-balance every type of unit in the game, including supercapitals , without crapping up the XMLs with a million and one hardpoints. If you want a content heavy mod that runs as well as the base game, this is how you get it.

Some people complain that the models and textures aren't on a par with some of the more recent graphic overhauls, but with so much new content, and with gameplay mechanics this darn good, who cares? Far too many mods go all out with dazzling visuals at the cost of gameplay and stability. ACM 2.4 gets all of the basics exactly right, and that by itself is worth more than any amount of sexy textures and eye candy explosions.

For an added challenge, get the Absolute Chaos addon. It tweaks the AI while leaving the basic mechanics of the mod intact and ups the fun factor tremendously.

The FoC version of Absolute Ehnancement Mod 5.1 for vanilla EaW, this is one of the best older mods out there. It adds so many units to each side that you can customise and roleplay forever, as well as makes planet bonuses even more significant and specialised. I always enjoyed building a mechanised Imperial army of Level III Dark Troopers, tanks and air units along with a modernised SD fleet headed by supercapitals, or playing as ZC with fleets of black Praetors with red engines, sending down armies of CIS+Mandalorian units. Still highly playable, and not demanding on the graphics card due to being one of those old classic mods from way back when Filefront was the go-to place for mods. Fond memories!

I love this mod. There is nothing wrong with it but the sadness of no selecting my unit because of a stupid glitch.

EDIT: Found a way to fix that glitch.

Other modders out there want to make a Star Wars FOC mod that adds so many units and new changes, but they usual or do it by adding 50 hardpoints or something and don't take the time to balance the units. BUT THIS MOD..... IT ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. It's so simple, but it's still a good mod that's balanced and adds so many new units in a clever way! It feels like this is an official expansion to the game! And I can't believe this isn't a more famous mod!

10/10!

Absolutely love this mod

I have been playing this mod since File Front was around so believe me when I say I have played A LOT.

I will begin by saying what I do like about the mod in no particular order. Lots of ships from the expanded universe which is real St Wars and not Disney garbage. I love all the new editions. They add much more gameplay to FOC.

That said this is why I give 5/10. The balancing is TERRIBLE. PRatically non existent. The dev replaced ion cannons on all ships, except the victory 1, with laser cannons. The battle cruisers are uber op. all you need is 1 or 2 and can wipe out ANY enemy. Parent ships launch almost all their fighters and in most cases all of them. No need to use larger ships for combat. Just let your fighters hunt which works 90% of the time. The Consortium is nerfed to hell in land battles, but the balancing for everyone sucks. Just the Consortium gets it worse.

These issues are overall issues. I didn't want to get into too much detail because that would take up too much of your time reading this.

I still play this mod. I was in fact just playing it before writing this review. If it wasn't for the units added I wouldn't be playing it because of balancing.

Totally love this mod. Usually mods that add so much Content feel overloaded, but this one does it just right. My favorite still after all These years.

very good
