Finally had the chance to reinstall after not playing since pre-V3. Didn't Dol Amroth used to have Numenorean Steel Bowmen for rangers? Or am I going mad and the Nimrodel Mariners were always just a standard 5 damage elite archer?

Is there any way to create a custom character that is anything other than a standard human? The maximum age for custom characters is 50, and a lot of the traits (Elf, dwarf, numenorean, etc.) are more than 50 years. Do we need a submod to reduce their values?

Alright! Time to get on a mount and start exploring till I run into them (Luckily I found Cirdil already, so at least my Gondorians will always have their best pal.)

Quick question that keeps throwing me through a loop here- It seems that all of the companions got moved outside of the "castle" location, and are now somewhere in the main city? Are they generally located near the town center now, or should I explore a bit more to try to find them. Thanks!

Might be an issue with both the Steam and ModDB versions of the mod fighting with each other (Going to clean uninstall the mods and reinstall purely the ModDB one after this to check), but is anyone else having localization issues with Romendacil? It ends up Showing up as Ra3mendacil, with the 3 almost raised as an exponent.

Edit: Cleared Gfx cache, did a clean reinstall, seems like the localization is still messed up. Anybody know a fix?

Edit #2: While I'm at it, there seems to be something messed up with the old-age and dunedain_infertility traits, since A: Every dunedain seems to get the Old Age trait, even if they are in their 20s or a child. (Or at least, the vast majority of them seem to.) Additionally, even the male characters then get the Dunedain Infertility trait around the age of 80. Which, if you're Aragorn, for example, means you can't have any children with Arwen short of removing the trait or using a console command.

Also, if you want to win the Ent siege and still lose men (To minimize the cheating aspect of it), you can bring an army out of your settlements (or several, the ents are a tad bit OP) open the console and type show_cursorstat near Isengard, then move_character (Name) X,Y. That command will teleport the unit, this should let you autoresolve the battle and take damage, weakening you if you want to have that as part of the realism for fighting off the ents. One turn later, you can then teleport them back with the same cheat, and it as if nothing major ever happened.

You do realize that the Unit Cards have the same brightness as vanilla Med II, correct? All of the issues you mention are part of the base game, and as sadpanda said, you can fix many of the brightness issues on your own end. Concerning archers not firing, that is once again something from the base game, Archers will NOT fire when there is a friendly unit nearby/interspersed with their target, and they will also stop firing if a friendly unit runs through/directly in front of them.
Concerning "every button added to the game", there are no additional buttons added to the UI, it is the vanilla Med II UI, with some decal changes. The map as well is the TATW Map- and is actually smaller, seeing as how Arachir and the others have broken up large provinces (Cough cough, Rhovanion) in to several smaller regions.

In light of that, you would have to delete the folder and reinstall TATW- though hopefully you won't decide to go rant on their decidedly less active forums about issues that are part of the base game or mod.

One positive note: Troll-Men Hunters will end the Mumakil in about 3 volleys (With two units). "That was easy"

RIP Harad. Just a friendly warning now folks: The Haradrim Wastes? They are guarded by 2 units of Troll-Men, and their province specific unit, the Mumakil! So, when the game gives you a mission to take them early game, and you tell yourself "Hey, its a 3 stack and this is the start of the game, what could go wrong!" Mumakil can go wrong. Very, very wrong. However, this will probably make Harad a more challenging campaign, since your strongest unit is now protected by one of its own, so only when you can kill the blasted things are you able to slaughter all of Gondor!

This may be a completely pointless comment, however: Where do we download the latest patch? Do we re-download the older .5 and.52 files, or is there a file I am missing (That is most likely the case.).

Yes, you must use Custom Culture, and the settlement style that is said by the Battle Map, I.E., Hobbiton wants Custom Culture, that map, AND Village level (Err, maybe it is town?)

Yes, if I remember Arachir's video correctly, it is 13 turns until the Nazgul respawn in their Capital. As Dol Goldur, they respawn in Dol Goldur, for Mordor, they respawn in Barad-Dur, and as Isengard, the Nazkhai respawn at Isengard (If Saruman becomes Saruman of Many Colors and takes the One Ring, and causes the Nazgul to slowly move to his side)

Also, your profile picture is one of Glorfindel, no? Pertaining to that, will we see Ecthelion and Glorfindel with the faction of Gondolin?

So glad i had been watching Arachir Galudirithon's videos for DaC and he mentioned this mod was something that actually existed! I have always wanted to be able to witness the First Age, since it gets so little love amongst mods, games, RP groups, etc. (DaC TaTW and all of those mods are still amazing, and much thanks goes to those that made them of course) So any progress on this mod is just wonderful to see!

It is only compatible with Version 2.1.4, I would suggest the 2.0.4 Beta or maybe the 2.1.6 (Dont know if those were major patch updates)
