So, for the sake of fairness, I have decided to try this mod out.
After all I am only human, I could be wrong, maybe I've been too harsh on this guy, maybe this mod is actually a good mod.
No. This mod is terrible.
Let's start with the most obvious issue, the mod is 3.85GB, almost twice the size of the actual game. Is it because the mod is full of HD art assets? No. The reason is that the entire game, and some other random files have been uploaded along with the mod. This is not only inconvenient, but also basically illegal, because piracy.
But some people might say, this is just a "nitpick", so how is the actual mod?
The mod is basically Only War with some of the units replaced with units from Star Wars and Halo. Normally this would be cool, except the button icons and descriptions haven't been edited at all, you know, "the bare minimum", so you have to build everything to find what and where everything is. Some buttons give you one unit, other buttons give you several units, kinda like a gacha game!
Because Only War was used as a base, the maps are small to emulate 40k's close quarters squad-based gameplay, also there are no supplies, you need to capture control points across the maps, but since you don't know what anything is, good luck finding the one unit that can capture stuff.
All in all, it was a pretty confusing and frustrating experience. Good for a few minutes of mindless fun but nothing else. IMO, the people who gave this mod 10/10 were either paid off, have very low standards, or are lazy modders themselves.
Just play the originals, they're much better

I generally do not like installers and launchers for mods, because they ironically make installing multiple mods harder, but I really like this one :)
GenLauncher makes it easy to install and update multiple mods while keeping your ZH folder clean, and it also has a host of QoL features like being able to set your game resolution before you start your game and being able to quickly turn GenTool on and off as needed.
This is one of the best tools to come out for ZH in a while!
