Very nice!

Steel Legion is probably my favourite Guard regiment with their Armageddon lore and their mechanized infantry and world war inspired visuals so i was looking forward to the patch or rather 7.0 update now!
Honestly, i was low key worried that their rework has been scrapped despite getting new units since Krieg "replaced" them but i should have known better to doubt you guys
Gotta go on a penance crusade now

By the way, i noticed the Leman Russ got bolters on its sides now
Does it mean it will behave like a regular Leman Russ in 7.0?

From what i understand the SL mod is ancient, even pre-dating the IG from Winter Assault and because of that, the SL units use mechanics and animations from the base DoW1 campaign and its IG placeholders
Like for example the Blood Raven's campaign Leman Russ behaves like an artillery instead of a tank, having abyssal dps on its battle cannon in exchange for a big aoe shoot

I remember someone did tests with the various UNI tanks and uploaded them on your discord and the SL Lemans Russes were the worst performers by far because of the low dps main cannon and no side bolters

Was always jealous of the Aquatic Dreadnought of the minor faction, so the ability to produce it and not even capped to one feels like a fever dream!

Felt like they are firing faster, but with possible less damage since their displayed dps is pretty low

My 2 narcines were like disco balls against the federation fleet

With all the talk between Leo vs Abrams in the descriptions, i guess there is no chance for the later Leo variants and their cool arrowhead/wedge turret design?

Congrats to being featured in the editors choice awards, top 100 and also getting a honourary mention too, which was especially hard this year since there was a lot of formidable competition present this round!

Also about the news from the titan system.
I find it kind of funny how there is the Banelord right now and in the next version the Sinister Psi-Titan but no regular Warlord yet.
Well, i assume that one will be tier 3 since the Warhound and Reaver had to appear first, being some of the most common and known Titan types both in the setting and in real life.

Not criticizing, just found it funny.

... also with your intention to feature both Lucius and Mars patterns to make vanilla SM and CSM more distinct from each other, i guess Chaos will get that blocky and iconic Warlord in the future.

Gee Orionslaver!
How come the other devs let you have two titans?

Happy Holidays to you too.

Hmm i should have kept using the Guard as example instead of switching to vanilla Marines since i caused some confusion with my questions only.

Baneblade remains the relic unit as you said and i assume the Imperial Knight shown in the screenshot is the first titan unit build option for the Guard unless a Guard aligned Warhound might be considered for the future.

So if i play as Guard vs The World Eaters CSM and disable the Titan win condition, i will lose the option to build Knights and the vanilla Baneblade becomes my top tier unit but will The World Eaters lose the option to build their titanic units like chaos corrupted Knights and the Banelord? (which apparently a corrupted Warlord Titan?!?)

I'm asking because i have no idea if the various mod authors would allow to have certain units disabled and might have even stricter conditions for their mods and i just used the World Eaters as an example since the dev blog used it as example too. No idea if that example author is strict with his work at all or in fact very chill.

Well i based my informations on the in progress dev blog: Moddb.com

"The reason behind the decision of introducing Titan units to all vanilla races is not because we wish to copy other fellow big mods(hence why we are not using any additional resource system) but rather,to give a fighting chance to these races,as many of the modded races we are adding, have their own titan units(examples are the RAGE mod with its Banelord Titan and the Emperor's Children with its own titanic units, like the Questor and the Renegade Knight)."

So if i for example disable the titan feature, play as vanilla space marines vs world eaters, can the latter still build the Banelord while i lose the ability to build Warhounds?

"Our goal is to introduce titans in tier levels, with tier 1 level, being the Warhound level.Which will be the only tier this version will have fully coded and implemented."

The showcased Wraithknight and Revenant tower over the Avatar of Khaine easily and are about equal in size to each other and from what i know the Revenant is the counterpart of the Warhound both in size and their role as scout titans of their respective factions at least lore/tt wise.

Well it was probably to early to ask the second question since the whole titan thing is likely very WIP.

Congrats on the high placement!

I have some questions about the titan implantation but i guess there might be a future dev blog about it anyway.

1. Will the option to disable titans include the super units of the other non vanilla factions? Titans sound fun and i will definitely try them but i'm also quiet happy with the current power levels of the regular top units like the Baneblade and would prefer not to be turned into scrap for that decision.

2. Are multiple titans planned per tier, at least for some factions? Looking at the craft world pictures you can see the vanilla Avatar of Khaine but also the Wraithknight and Revenant Titan which i assume are tier 1 titans like the Warhound.

3. Are units like the Wraithknight or Imperial Knights even tier 1 material? From what i understand that even the small Warhound titan is on a complete different level compared to an Imperial Knight while the bigger titans are closer to spaceships than other ground based vehicles.
I guess gameplay trumps lore anyway assuming i'm even right in the first place.

Wow the new maori faction is simply incredible!

I went blind in not to spoil myself like always and was stunned how unique that civ is. Especially the age up system and how the upgrade system overcomes a somewhat limited unit rooster if you ignore home city unit cards were impressive.

I also tried a match with france and i really like the new hospital upgrade layout. Old one while medicine related still felt very random, both how much benefit they give and their progression.
I think the new layout also have a greater focus on the surgeons too? If yes that is a very nice change because i mostly used priests for front line healing since they have other uses too.
