I unsubscribed, then resubscribed, and after a restart, the issue was resolved.

Thanks for all the hard work regarding the mod. Looking forward to future updates.

Great news! I subscribed to the mod and thought I downloaded something... But it's not under "Tuning" or "Victory Conditions"...

CoH2 is partially on the Humble Bundle this week - you can get the Oberkommando West and the US and OKW as opponents for 3.72USD (along with some other games, including Empire Total War). Next Tuesday additional games will be unlocked - there's a chance for more CoH content... Also I believe it's for sale on Steam as well (though not sure if the time ran out).

Well, if at least a damage system can indeed be implemented in CoH2, then it'll be a reason for me to buy the game... Thanks for the good news, JudgeAlfred.

Haven't been keeping track, but is modding CoH2 a reality? As far as I can see, people (including me - I will only buy the game when there is a realism mod out) are hoping for the opportunity of modding in a business model based on selling modified content to the consumer in the form of DLCs... With the latest trend in most mainstream games trying to get ahead of community mods... Well it sometimes seems to me that we're hoping for something that will never happen - or until they've fully milked the game's potential in their minds.

I've observed such problems on burning map content(pre-existing wrecks), but my normal smoke seems fine.

Congratulations on your birthday! I wish you the best! I would really appreciate the occasional update - even if you don't release anything - please don't keep us in the dark. I love this mod (it's my favourite mod, since I found out about it, and BK - in my opinion - made some unfortunate decisions), and hearing its every heartbeat is morale for me... I look forward to your new releases! Keep up the good work!

OK the way I did it was, download and install the Alpha Version 1.0 (move contents of the N44 folder within the zipped file into your CoH directory, under SteamApps), then Alpha Hot Fix, then the 5 part 1.1, then the 1.1 HF.

The shortcut, I believe should be:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Company of Heroes Relaunch\RelicCOH.exe" -dev -mod EuropeanTheater1944

Of course, the x86 is there only if you're running a 64bit OS.

Could you elaborate? Have you created the shortcut with the modified target line as described?

Have you tried deleting the contents of the scripts folder under Users/Your Name/AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Empire?

Not that hard... But gotta go with SS... Go for the Panther building, build the company commander (for capturing), then a Panther, then a sniper... The current vision system makes it so that doctrines without snipers have a hard time - especially against the all-seeing AI... Recon units need some love, imo.

I'm running it on Win 8.1 without any problems (although the occasional crash still happens online - CoH was simply not the same after Steam merger).

AFAIK, because of the different mechanics of unit building (haven't played the campaign in a while, but one mission in the vanilla depended on a field barracks to build AT guns - the field barracks in N44 only resupplies existing units), and the different AI, it is not possible to run the campaign.

I believe I've found the problem... Because I had just installed CoH on my older system, some of the settings were set to Ultra (shaders and effects, IIRC). Once I lowered them to High, the problem solved itself (unless again, it is doctrine specific - though I doubt it).

On another note, playing against the Soviets caused me to lose around 20FPS right from the start (as soon as I saw their inf).

My old rig is AMD Phenom II x4 940 @3.3ghz, 6GB DDR2 1066, ATI Radeon HD 5850.

It seems that the problem is with me... Or it is doctrine specific... I played another round on my newer laptop, without any problems against the doctrine with the ISU152s.

Indeed, Soviets are working again... Anyone else having skin problems? O played 1 round against Soviet AI, particles from the units shoot up into the air, blocking some of my view...

Yay. I really hope for updated models too! (Like the 76mm AT gun for the US - the 57 right now damages King Tigers even)

I hope for some new models soon ^^ Especially the Panther G, the Tiger I Late Version, some StuG III's (a real StuH 42), and the Henschell Tiger II... But, take your time guys...

Just an idea off the top of my head, but I wonder what would happen if one of the big gaming companies tried integrating modding into their games as a business model, instead of DLCs... Maybe make them for a nominal fee and get a cut? You know, instead of re-heating and serving players the same crap over and over, just with a few additions?

I've yet to see a game that manages to live up to its full potential... There's always at least 1 mod that makes it far better... With a well-balanced system, it would benefit the company (new material for lower costs), the modders (some form of financial income for their hard work, better modding support from the game devs), and the players (longer game life, better mods).

Off the top of my head, I'd be willing to pay 5-10 USD for each major version of N44, Blitzkrieg, Battle of the Bulge, and Modern Combat (as long as they keep the hardcore version in there) very few months... Heh, and the exchange rate here is like 2 Liras something for 1 USD...

Thank you for the update... It's nice to know what's going on...

I figured this would affect the mods :/ They took so long to release a fix for the broken Steam version, and when they did, they broke the elements of the game that I actually enjoyed (I was never a big fan of the white grenadiers and boxing tanks...). I don't know how many people still play Vanilla, but for me and my circles that still play CoH, it was the mods (especially this one) that kept us in the game.

I guess I'll take a break from CoH as well - until someone figures a way around this... Thanks Sega... For once, it would have been better if you'd let things stay broken...

I just finished installing the Community Map Pack 3.1b

This is for .SGA files - install into:

(User) Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes Relaunch/ww2/scenarios/

If you have a launcher that doesn't let you choose (like the 3.1b map pack), it will install into (User) Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes/ww2/scenarios/ - from there you will need to cut and paste the ww2 folder back into (User) Documents/My Games/Company of Heroes Relaunch/ww2/scenarios/

Hope it helps.

Thank you for the update - much appreciated.

Playing with the armor is my favorite part of the game, and I have a personal liking to the Panther G (one of my favorite vehicles) - the vision port on the A really puts me off. So don't mind me ^^

I'll still write up the list, so you can refer to it whenever you like... Gonna look into the custom maps installation tonight...

The G in Blitz was OK - made by DMZ and Medez. Eliw00d and DMZ have a Panzer IV ausf H - with correct exhausts. There is a 251/17 Ausf. C with a 20mm FlaK (38) by DMz and Eliw00d. A correct StuH42 and StuG III by DMz and Eliw00d exists. Tiger II Henschel turret by Halftrack and Tankdestroyer. The problem is that these are only models - they need to be skinned. Ofc permission is needed as well. I can write up a list at the bug tracker if you like...
