What does this mean?

I think this makes a year since the last update to indiedb. The website with info about the game has shut down. The twitter has been inactive since September, the Facebook since July. This promised demo has yet to see the light of day. Has progress on this game stopped completely? Is it still going on behind the scenes? The lack of public interaction as of late, coupled with how hyped this game was in its prime, makes me very disheartened, as nothing has been said with relation to progress continuing to go on or not. I don't care much for this state of limbo the development presents itself in, so I really hope this game is still in development; or if it is to be cancelled or put on indefinite hold, someone say something about it.

Nothing yet. There hasn't been any public interaction at all since September. I'm admittedly losing hope since we're almost at a year since any updated screenshot or video was posted here.

Define "recently" as that video is over a month old, and it doesn't look like anything has changed since then.

I don't know. Public showcasing of progress has all but stopped since January, the main site has lost its hosting, twitter and facebook has been inactive for months...

Well, I guess time will tell, unless veer himself tells us first.

I dunno. Something tells me that an event as grand as that would've been announced. Maybe it's another span of inactivity, this happened before. The losing the veerchidar.com site is new though...

Well, couple of days ago, veer posted something on the twitter account showing that development was slowed for a while but they're promising to resume activity really quick.

I disagree with this statement. At the initial creation of this game, there was every intention to finish this game into a playable, and fully-functional state as well as continuously add updates to it. But as with many long-term plans, things can change in an instant, and one's ability to progress towards the goal may be altered because of it. I'm sure they had all intentions of releasing something for a community to play with, but circumstances hindered their progress and ability to do so.

I think they've said they're not going to be updating the game any further, and that they're done with Legacy. You can pop on their slack for more details. Legacy is over, guys. Sorry, folks.

Nothing to download yet, it'll still be a couple months at the earliest until there is something.

There isn't one yet, but the dev's message below says it'll be _at least_ a few more months.

So will this new demo build not have all the stuff that would've been present in the end of the year build, or have you made a lot more progress than you were expecting when you were planning on two demo builds?

Guessing that primarily depends on how many additional features will go into the pre-alpha.

Well, I think the end goals of each game are so radically different that a collaboration wouldn't work.
I mean, Pokemon Destiny is primarily a single-player game with a bit of co-op in it, PPL is aiming to be an MMO of sorts, and that's just one of a few major differences between the two games.
I'm sure both groups here have their goals in mind, and are pretty firm in their stances on how they want the game to look at the end, so I think that the multitude of differences in how to approach certain features would prevent any sort of smooth collaboration to happen.
No digging against any of the groups intended, but I think their desires for the game they have in mind wouldn't match up that great with each other.
