Would you be okay sharing your fix for Xash3D's overbright lighting? I've been trying to do my own implementation of it, but I'm having a hell of a time figuring it out. I'd really appreciate your help, but it's fine if you want to keep your effect just for Shaft.

Xash3D engine already has view tilt. You can toggle it with the "sv_rollangle" cvar (WON default is 2).
When I toggle the "r_shadows" cvar, the game crashes. This happens in both the latest Steam version and the Xash3D engine. What's the deal?

What code have you changed other than weapons doing more damage?
Don't get me wrong, it's a nice model, it's just too realistic and incongruous in an otherwise retro videogame-y environment.
Not a fan of the new pistol model at all. High-poly + GoldSrc = blech, especially in contrast to the more traditional/blocky mapping.
