Would you be okay sharing your fix for Xash3D's overbright lighting? I've been trying to do my own implementation of it, but I'm having a hell of a time figuring it out. I'd really appreciate your help, but it's fine if you want to keep your effect just for Shaft.

When can we expect a release of your fork of the Xash3D engine? It looks really nice. Will it be before the full release of Shaft?

Also, didn't Xash3D Already have over-bright lighting? I might be mistaken.

Xash3D engine already has view tilt. You can toggle it with the "sv_rollangle" cvar (WON default is 2).

When I toggle the "r_shadows" cvar, the game crashes. This happens in both the latest Steam version and the Xash3D engine. What's the deal?

Don't get me wrong, it's a nice model, it's just too realistic and incongruous in an otherwise retro videogame-y environment.

Not a fan of the new pistol model at all. High-poly + GoldSrc = blech, especially in contrast to the more traditional/blocky mapping.
