No point of this cus 1.1.1.0 & 1.1.1.1 can play ancient mods on CD version
Some mods before 2000 can only be played with version 1.0.1.6 or lower, but not below 1.0.0.9, so a patch between is necessary.

Do you have any installation instructions for downgrading from version 1.1.0.6 (the Game of the Year edition) to this version?
Actually, I think I found out how to install this patch on the WON Half-Life Game of the Year Edition:
1) Go to your Half-Life folder (mine is usually C:\Sierra\Half-Life) and rename "hl.exe" to something like "hl.exe.disabled"
2) Create an empty text file and renamed it to "hl.exe"
3) Download this patch
4) Click on the patch to install into your Half-Life directory
5) Start Half-Life normally
6) If you're on Vista or later, make sure the Data Execution Prevention thing allows the Half-Life launcher (aka hl.exe)
If it works with me on 64bit Vista, I think it can work anywhere.

alright so i have just downgraded from 1.1.0.8 and it says "insert the half-life cd"
and i have inserted the hl cd and it still says that help
