yes you need to use the modded version of the campaign when you turn on the mod in the in game mod manager
Sidenote: if you were playing the vanilla campaign and you activate the mod (or a mod) you will have no choice but to start a new game by that it literally forces you to start a new game

ok I'm gonna be a bit harsh and say this
your mod doesn't even work properly
it starts off fine when you go to select a race but when you finish what size of galaxy you want and when you click start and it's generating the map it down right crashes even it's the only mod active :/ and plus you don't take just a few minutes of your time to do a detailed tutorial on how to install the mod for the game or even just create a mod file and uploaded it to your downloads
so Please on the bottom of my heart and on behalf of the people who are having problems with this mod please do something good about it and fix it from crashing on a new game start and also do a detailed tutorial on how do install the mod but if you can't do the tutorial just upload the .mod file with this mod's files D:
Ps. I really love your mod but it needs to stop CTD every time i start a new game and it would be helpful if you could ether do a quick fix patch to fix the CTD on a new game or tell us the real requirements
