Check out my patreon, please read the full discourse on the patreon page.
hopefully we can get more patrons and will have the money to start hiring people in a few months time.
you guys should make it so people can mod the game, this would give the game much needed life...
updates in that direction would be great.
this game could use some real storylines/objectives outside of just survival.
- some coop at the least.
- maybe some multiplayer (make alliances or just all out war)
- add conditions and effects to certain planets that make them harder to survive on, say limited time outside because of continual dust storms/ can only be out during the day or night cycles for that planet.
- more build options, say creating underground facilities...
- improvements to the AI for the game to get the people to work on shifts, to actually work instead of standing around with their proverbial thumbs up their backsides.
- improve pathing for the AI
- make dual airlocks (in and out only sections)
- upgrade citizens to increase efficiency and automation.
- more specialized and general bots
someone needs to update the extra mod hooks, because they no longer seem to work...
that would be awesome, thanks.
you guys going to replace the content in the plane so that you can keep anna from killing the character... thus allowing continued questioning and allow both to live till later on.
also, should be able to get a nano key for anna's cabinet, hermans, manderly's, or at least make it possible to open them via hacking their computers.
you are confused, half life itself was not a mod, your thinking of the original tf which was FREE.
half life itself (originally) was a stand alone build using the first quake engine and basically using quake as a start point (similar to an overhaul) to run their own game.
actually when sith or jedi die (in a non-natural type death) they cause enough of a impact or 'disturbance' with the force that it can have many different effects near and in the surrounding areas...
thus a bit a lightning could potentially happen near a body... other effects are possible as well, such as whirlwind/push/dominate (in this case it would be instant loss of consciousness and possibly scrambling thought process' and possibly memory), too the point of causing many different things to happen at the same time which would also have a major impact on the flora/fauna of the environ where they were killed.
personally this has always made me wonder why the ship didnt have more destruction happening to it and the nearby planet than what did happen, considering how nihilus stayed alive for so long as well as his overall connection to the force... the more 'powerful' a sith/jedi is with the force the more catastrophic the disconnection is with the force at death when being killed.
the problem isnt modders, everyone who has played the game wants to mod it... the problem is the learning curve and difficulty in using the (dumbed down engine) modding tools.
because the time to implement something is so long (30 days plus for the rebalance mod) nobody wants to invest that kind of time into making mods without some sort of recompense.
now if people were willing to pay a couple of bucks with a patreon, enough to hire people that would be dedicated to the mod/expansion/fixes or whatever, then we could even work on making the modtools easier to use as well.
any mod or set of mods would not need 100GB size to contain everything that people wanted... however, realistically it will take probably more than 1-2GB of space on the HDD.
looking like a real thief game...
cant wait to check it out.
are you guys considering moving onto professional game making? and if not why not?
will the clicking sound be able to be turned down or something... because its kinda intrusive.
the minions need more 'random' dialog :D
why not try and create a couple of stand alone games instead of a complete conversion (in this case)?...
you guys seem to have the talent, you could create your own games... just a thought.
wall textures, character textures, control panel textures... lookin pretty good.
maybe its outfit textures since they can be changed from char to char...
not bad at all, floor textures need to be updated.
not bad, infact those are pretty nice... need some texturing tho :P
need some red strobes :D
the NYC is good, you might want to make the wan chai market music a little more traditionalistic... but it is pretty good still.
not bad, not bad at all.
living mushroom tower... looks like its grown over a stone tower.
have a friend is much the same way with FO3... its some kind of disease i think, cant help but tweak the next little bit of stuff... then your off again modding.
the new floor texture is a bit off... the original was to show how derelict the district is on the lower levels.
like rusting metal...
the textures are a bit too clean for the areas, just my opinion... they do look good tho.
updated textures do make it look better.
whole new textures is a good idea...
the level up interface is looking good (didnt know jeff foxworthy was in starwars, lol)
the updated original textures look kinda odd, but its still an improvement.
looking forward to see what you do next.
dont suppose you can fix the camera stuff so you can look up and down (or at least set at a different angle of follow)?!
password protected... if you want to take a look and give suggestions, let me know.
you get the pass in pm or email.
looking for specific suggestions:
features (how you would like to see operations happen to make using the engine easier for everyone who uses it)
o please like you even have a clue about if he is lying or not... whether he is lying or not is moot anyways, the point is that the mod is no longer going to be worked on for all intents and purposes.
its not really your look out whether he is tired of putting up with fools like you or if he had a hardware issue or something else... such as personal RL issues.
if all you can do is complain then you are aggravating the problem of failed projects here.... getting almost as bad as the nexus with idiots complaining about crap they haven't got a clue about, making devs want to pull out their hair and/or commit suicide (i am not joking about that btw)... so shut your cake hole and give some positive criticism if thats at all possible for you illiterate rejects from the public school system.
your emotional constipation should not be given over to someone who has probably put more work into a given project than you have ever put into anything you have ever tried in your entire lifetime to date.
so get up off your brain and give it a rest because its obviously starving for oxygen, and try to think before you spout your infinitesimal spooge.
i believe he is indeed :D
you should contact him by email or send a msg through moddb here.
the stock butt still isnt right... not original... but this might make more sense for the setting.
bow wouldn't be able to stand up like that on a table without being on some kind of bow display rack, its the wrong type of item for the scene (way too advanced for whats being offered)...
thats my rundown of what happened there (or what i think is the oops moment)
FNV itself is not a crappy or sucky game... the only thing wrong with it is the storyline.
the game itself is about 100% more solidly built and more stable than fallout... the reason people dont buy it and dont work with it as much anymore (except on the nexus) is because of the terrible story that was written for it, from the main quest line to the side quests that were just cheesy...
dont blame the software for the failure of the writers for the game.
i am glad that vault-tech multiplayer setup is being worked on still for FO3, which does deserve it more than FNV.
a little late in the trimming but it is now done... got sidetracked by RL garbage.
nice... the guy doing the video thing, is a bit odd.
the right one should be re-used as a special or unique dagger type...
makes me think of a snake god or something.
maybe the dagger of osiris.
disclaimer: slayer_2 is still messing around with FO3 stuff... apparently he is addicted to modding FO3 etc.
