The soundtrack is custom-made for this mod by a member of our team. I'm not sure if we're going to release it as a seperate soundtrack.
You're right, it's based off the AR2. We were in a hurry to finish the teaser, that's why it still has the AR2 muzzle flash and effects.
Check Youtube.com for the HD version of the teaser.
Yeah, we'll do that. It's just a placeholder for now.
Thank you for your kind words. Currently, there are no plans to go commercial with this mod, but of course we will try to release it on Steamworks. And yes, we are using the Orange Box engine.
There are a couple of singleplayer mods released on steamworks, so it should be possible. But first, let's finish the mod :)
Nice modcast and thanks for mentioning Raindrop. A preview version isn't anywhere near completion though, so you have to be patient for a while ;)
Don't worry about that. We are a small and dedicated team, and the progress we made in the last few months has been nothing less than amazing. I can assure you that everyone is keen on finishing this one, maybe even this year.
You are right about that (good spot!), but rest assured it will be fixed in the final version.
Hmm, why bother to post this? Anyone can make this in 5 minutes with Hammer. I know it's still 'WIP', but this won't make people interested in your mod.
LOL, I doubt that ModDB is closing.. maybe you're confused with FileFront.
Cool, the soundtrack is back in stock again. I just bought it :)
Looking forward to the mod itself!
Cool, I'm setting up a fast server right now :)
It's called 'detail shapes' and was introduced in Day of Defeat: Source. I don't think any of the Half-Life 2 episodes use it.
The grass and plants already sway in the wind. As for the trees, I'm not sure if it's possible with the Source engine, I'll look into it. Should give a rather cool effect though!
You can expect the same performance as Half-life 2: Episode 2.
Good job guys. Looking forward to next year already. Apart from the waiting, I enjoyed it very much :)
Wait, this must be a joke, right? Dead Before Dawn wins? It's just a map pack! So far, I haven't seen any custom props, weapons or characters at all! I agree that the mapping is decent, but mod of the year? Definitely not. Neotokyo should've won.
Damn, the announcement of Left 4 Dead must have been terrible news for you guys. Good luck on your future endeavors.
Thanks a lot. I liked your blog post and I'm looking forward to seeing more of SHIFT!
