I didn't approve of you using SMOD:T as a base.
Please do not continue with your mod

When I used SMOD as a base for my project(SMOD: Tactical), I gave credit to all the CSS customer modelers, skinners, animators, UVers, people who helped me with the model hacks, ect. I even kept SMOD in the title.

You however have not.
Give credit where credit is due.

Do you have Delta 5 installed and Delta 5.5?

I don't know what happened.
but when I re-uploaded the file it didn't take the changes I made to fix the zombie issue.

"The Author" of SMOD just rleased SMOD 29i, its supposed to fix vector blur and other things.

if it works I'll put a patch in.

As for the grenade thing.

I tried to make the skill more accommodating to more players, but the realistic nature of the weapons may require you to adapt your tactics. The badguys have been tweaked to respond to threats more realisticlly, like shoot through a wall if you dive behind it, and throw grenades to flush you out. This can make encounters that used to be easy... CRAZY HARD. sometimes easy sections in HL2 become 2x harder because of the way the new Combine react. I suggest looking at my forums in the off-topic section for "Tactics". Shakken has some real-world tactical tips that show why normal FPS tactics don't work, such as "crowding cover" and "becoming stationary". Really good stuff.

But don't get discouraged, I die alot too.

As for the load times... its an issue with SMOD that I can't resolve.
The only solution is to run under "low" graphic effects, which I admit is lame, because you miss out on some neat special effects.

Have you tried lowering the enemy's skill?
in the setup map you can change their weapon skill.

Single Player only.

The speed issues are being worked on by the author of SMOD (what Tactical is built on). As for the bullet time thing, its disabled by default
you have to "cheat" to get it.

The sounds were done by my friend Shakken, who did the sounds for Inflitration. He has years of firearm experience under his belt.

But if you don't like the sounds, you can take the old sounds from the previous version.

Well. SMOD: Damage was essentially a tribute to SMOD: Tactical.
Since that was my mod, the short answer is yes.

1/4 life is working hard to emulate the things that "the author" of SMOD did for SP, and bring those to this mod. Essentially we are taking what was enjoyable about SMOD: Tactical, and making a fun co-op experience.

I beat ptk_-something-_apartment_101 and cs_caberet.
I'll admit I died alot, but I'm not a good shot.

I think the issue is not the mod itself, but the way your approaching the combat.

I'll see about making some config files to help with difficulty.
