Ok for everyone following this instructions a still getting a crash at the start of the game try using this file:
Put that file in mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data
The the reason behind the bug is that the link provided for the "Texture fix for Mongol halberd units" its not the actual fix, maybe the OP made a mistake, that link gives you a file called descr_characters.txt that is used to tell the game which characters will spawn when you start a new campaign, it also happens that in this file some character belong to the faction novgorod which its not being recognized by the game because it doenst exist in this mod as far as im aware.
I deleted those entries and it fixed the problem. (for me at least)
For the actual texture fix use this link:
Then drag it to:
mods\kingdoms_grand_campaign_mod\data\unit_models

You should implement the auxiliary player feature (i think thats the name) that allows you to take control of one of your soldiers after you die just like in Anno Domini 1257 aside from that the mod is perfect. Good Job.
The mod does look good but the game is broken beyond repair, along with any hopes of having fun with it, which is a shame given the talented modding community the series developed along the years.
Oh i know once you give the ring to smaug we will become a humanoid(like a altered model of sauron) warrior in a badass armor with a special ability called shout (that would be a more powerfull version of gandalf 1 spec ability) .... the dragonborn XD ...but seriously think about it it could work given a proper middle earth heroes name and design and its good to go, but i like the Ancalagon the Black idea aswell.
omg im finally seeing some decent bayonets models ? the ones in the vanilla suck so much.
A small advice use the second art image the one with the high elves during the last alliance as thumb and\or change the name so people can relate this to Lotr more easily

Yes that is true but thing is that when you play with small formations 50%-60% miss completely the formation,(which is normal at maximum range)but the closest the enemy gets, worse is the accuracy, i know that's due to the arrow dispersion but the guys at CA forgot to decrease the dispersion with the distance so when the enemy is 2 meters away the archers still miss most of the shots killing 1 or 2 guys while in reality almost everyone in the first rank of the enemy formation would be gone.
But of course this is just my point of view thanks for answering, your mod kick *** XD
I was wandering about the arrow boost feature couldn't you increase the power and\or accuracy a little bit ? cause when you play with 100\150 units scale which i think is the vanilla medium most of the arrows miss the formation and you get 1 or 2 kill per volley which doesn't make any sense.
hey Darth i got a problem i start the mod and i get CTD in the loading screen. i ve tried everything re install game and mod, patch update, disable anti virus (avast) any clue on whats causing this?
I talking about those elven troops who fought in helms deep (i dont remember the name in the mod) their helmets could be a little better, perhaps some more touches in the skin and they would be good to go.

I was wandering are you thinking in make some new models for the galahdrim sentries(probably misspelled)? i love their faction and their units but when its time to bring the bad *** troops they just suck (visually)
This mod probably has the more realistic values for archer much better than in the original Rome and in M2TW ... about the symbol i think if you right Minas_Tirith the cheat will work XD
Did the performance increased that much ? cause with me its exactly the opposite RTW and M2TW run on high but the last time i tried this mod i almost melt my pc XD ... but its been a while since i played the mod

i was wondering there will be battles dishes right ? if so you should make them big so the player can move the beyblade everywhere it would be awesome if we could press our opponent against the wall the jump and fall right on top of him and maybe some counter attacks XD

the armour should be a little darker and the tree in the chest is way too much detailed it should like in the shield similar to see mod skins but awesome work anyway keep going
you should add it a gondorian helmet it still be a light unit and the face form problem would be solved XD
