my god I remember playing this game many years ago, so happy to see there is even a mod community supporting it.
This is so well put together, props to you for such good heightmap and textures, I find that rather difficult with the engine.
Yeah that too, for some reason armor plating full of gigantic rivets all over the hull is something I have not seen in sw ships. This change is undoubtedly an upgrade, but the rivets make it look less star warish.
I'm personally a fan of the ''comic'' look, but as you wish, at the moment those rivets pop up too much imho, but if you can reduce its normals somehow, and bring up the rest of the ship details by doing so, it could be awesome.
Only issue I see is those rivets are gigantic considering the size of the ship, and there are too many in my opinion, there are some spots where they look nice but the upper/top hull looks a bit saturated. I like your old clean style, and I think if you try to go somewhere in the middle between them, it'll be spot on. My feedback:
Reduce the ammount of rivets, specially in the armor plating on the top hull. So you still have some rivets, but the areas are cleaner, I also like that you added color variation to the armor plate, giving it a more star wars classic look, but I think you over detailed with the rivets. I think rivets would fit smaller ships better, or at least in a reduced ammount. The scratches and other details are very nice btw.
Overall, I'm impressed you are still trying to improve the looks of the mod, I already thought your work was breathtaking, what a way to start a new year!

Actually that reminds me that in TC endwar your units that were badly damaged took cover and waited for air extraction, which was pretty cool as if they managed to survive they ranked up.

I guess that depends on the new assembly kit. If terrain can be modified to a much higher degree than attila's I see that happening, if not I'm pretty sure they will stay with attila. Its easier to recreate middle earth on europe than on the british isles after all.

Incredible work. May I suggest the addition of elysian tauros and venators as a LRV for the imperial guard besides the sentinels? Recon fast moving vehicles with a low profile would be nice, and I believe these could take on the job:

Very nice! So, more variants to come? So far youve showed us 4 different ones. I guess a radar one is the next to come. Nice way to make the fog of war disappear and allow the player to see whats coming from a longer distance. Maybe some kind of hangar or coms tower which spams fighters/interceptors, though that may not make much sense since it would be more offensive than defensive, but defensive hangar bays are s feature i like in sins of a solar empire, and could have a nice application in galactic conquest. Space mines turret deployer? Maybe another turret that doesnt allow the oponent player to call in reinforcements in a huge area around the turret. Tractor beam or ion weaponry to immobilize ships?
Since youre making turrets smaller in size and more variation to choose from, it would be a nice idea to increase the number of buildable turret platforms in all the maps.
