Description
The last major stronghold of the fractured Empire, Bastion is considered a "fortress world". While boasting major cities and spaceports, Bastion is also dotted with many heavily fortified outposts and depots, which coordinate protection of the planet both in orbit and on the ground.
Is that a starfort pattern?
Certainly looks that way. A good pattern for a "fortress world" to adopt.
Indeed it is :) It's an effective pattern...or was until aircraft were a thing. But I figure the 7 massive Turbolaser towers are deterrent enough for anything in the sky. (FYI, the large towers are just props. They don't actually fire...that would be...OP)
Can they be animated to look as if they're firing at targets in orbit? Add a few untargeteable flying units and we got ourselves a proper large scale battle.
I like this idea, would be quite atmospheric to have those turrets firing at orbit , or even ships flying in the background via animations. This is the last major stonghold of the empire, so lets make it epic!
And it shall not fall to traitors or savages! But yes i second the turbolaser effects.
While it would be cool, unfortunately it would take a while to set up. Once all maps are done, GC is getting released, so don't expect something like this to appear when the next download is posted.
