It's a longshot, but are the Necrons going to get anything new in coming updates? I know they already received an extensive, and largely quite wonderful, overhaul, but I am curious.

Just to be clear, do you mean that people find 'Insane' difficulty AI too hard?

My understanding of the situation is that Easy through Hard have actual AI differences, but Harder and Insane are just the Hard AI with resource bonuses.

Is that not the case in this mod?

Unification is a blast but the AI is just terrible (since, to my knowledge, it is just using the base Soulstorm AI).

Why is it that maps made for LOUD have so many fewer mass extractors than a vanilla game, and why are they often placed so much further away from the start than normal?

I am not saying it's a bad choice, but it does contradict my intuitions about good map design for SupCom.

Thank you very much for the reply. I appreciate your detail. Might I suggest a medium gray? I think that would fit excellently with the Empire's theme while also being far more readable.

I didn't think about fleet supply cost when writing my thoughts up - that is a pretty serious consideration.

I have a couple questions and comments for you.

(1) Is there a reason that the Rebel Alliance has only 1 titan while the other 3 new factions have several.

(2) Why do the Executor-class titans exist? It is obvious that they are immensely cool, and probably my favorite aspect of the mod, but they make playing any other faction besides the Empire and the New Republic really hard in longer games - a level 10 Executor can thrash a Ragnarok titan with ease, in any circumstance. And the Ragnarok is designed to fight other titans. I just don't see how you can really justify the inclusion of these units that are just so much more powerful than anything the base factions get.

(Also just as a side note, my Executor often gets stuck in the Pirate bases and refuses to turn around and phase jump away, is this normal? It got him killed right as I got him once and that was very sad, before Interregnum I would always send my Titan right at pirate bases to get some quick XP but now the Pirates are far stronger).

(3) Have you ever considered using a background color besides white for the Empire haha, it makes it really hard to see how far along build orders are since the yellow is hard to distinguish from the white.

Overall, I have had a blast with this mod, it is way more polished than I would ever expect from a fan project. I am glad I gave it a try, I have had a lot of fun.

I cannot wait for the next update, I expect to have even more fun with it. Good luck to you guys.

It's ok. For what it's worth, I am seeding and my upload is about 75% of my download so I am helping as best I can to seed. That said, the torrent is slow because of my very bad internet, not because of the few seeders.

I am very upset rn. I have been waiting over two months for this update to be released. It looks extremely amazing. Unfortunately, my internet access is incredibly poor for the USA (where I live). I tried to download the .7z files which are compressed best, but the downloads keep failing and I can't get anywhere with them. The mega link doesn't even load on my computer.

The only download I can find that doesn't keep failing due to network errors is the torrent, and that one says it will take me over 6 days to complete on my internet.

I'm not looking for tech support since I already know exactly why this is happening, I guess I am just frustrated since I'm jealous; a lot of you guys are already having fun with the mod and I will have to wait another week.

You guys said that not all the Necron units you've showed us will make it into the upcoming release. Would you mind sharing which units will be saved for a later update? Or even just tell us 1 or 2. I don't want to get hyped up for a unit I won't get. xD

Alright. So I have established that the requisition income doesn't seem to be happening anymore - that part may have been a one-off thing.

However, the power issue is still prevalent and as crippling as I said before. And to be clear, there are no issues if 2 tyranid players play together.

If it helps, my brother has reported similar issues with other factions that do resource mechanics differently, ex. Chaos Demons who get Power in a very interesting way.

I will give IDH a try next time for sure! They are a very fun race, I really don't have very many gripes. The only race I genuinely do not think makes sense atm is the Chaos Demons for the aforementioned "Multiple Bloodthirsters which are a relic unit" situation.

Are titans going to be very powerful in the upcoming mod? I am interested in them but I am confused as to how they could be balanced. You mentioned 'tier 1 titans' so I assume you would be able to build them at the very start of the game. If this is the case, are they going to be weak like Tier 1 troops are supposed to be? It seems like it would be somewhat strange to introduce these units if they would steamroll most other units in the same tier.

Also how will they stack up to relic units?

I'd probably remove Tyranids to start since they have a bad bug I've noticed: If you have 'resource sharing' on and they are on your team, everyone besides the Tyranids player(s) on that team will have really crippled requisition production, and maybe power. As far as I can tell though this big doesn't apply to Necrons (which are my main faction).

I'd also remove Chaos Demons because they seem kind of buggy and also I think it's a bit absurd that they can get multiple Bloodthirsters which are a literal relic unit.

The Daemon Hunters I would probably switch off sometimes (not always I think they are quite cool) since while they are not broken, they will utterly crush a Chaos army to the point it's not even worth trying. I understand the lore perspective, but with the Grey Knights deployment, their Brother-Captain commander can literally 1v1 a Bloodthirster and win easily, which seems a bit much since one is a relic unit and costs about 3x as much total... And is a greater demon after all.

Lastly I just don't want to play with a whole bunch of extra races, I usually add mods very slowly to enhance vanilla, I like Unification because it gives me one way to use all the single races I like together, but I feel like it would be kind of crazy to have almost 20 mod races when even Soulstorm had only 9 races.

So if I am understanding this correctly, all the custom factions will now be directly included within unification?

Is there any way for me to disable certain mod factions and only play with the ones I like? That, for me at least, is one of the best parts of Unification. I enjoy being able to remove mod factions if I'm bored of them, or if I think they need some balance changes. I would be sad if I was forced to play with a faction I don't like (not saying that would happen, I am sure you guys are picking high quality races, but still).

I think I've found a pretty bad bug with this mod.

It seems that when this faction is in play and resource sharing is on, that all allies (but not enemies) have a MASSIVE penalty to both power and requisition income. Me and my brother have been testing this for a few days now and we are quite certain that it is the Tyranids causing this.

This is a sad bug because I love the Tyranid faction but my brother refuses (quite reasonably) to play with me if I choose them because it literally cripples him.
