You are of course free to do whatever you want with the mod. However ModDB is a place for all pc gamers not just the steam monopoly. If its steam only now, then there is no point it being here. Not targetting this specifically, any mod which is steam or creation club, or r* only need not appear on a general site.

ncraw1er - - 19 comments @ What should the Mod DB team focus on in the coming years?

With the rise of Workshop, Creation Club and such like DMR'd proprietary platforms, which create a two tier gaming system, I would sugest removing any mod which is only tied to one of those platforms. I have a few times come here only to find a mod is nothing more than an advert for the closed Workshop platform.

I also fully agree with redismonDE, the last thing needed is another garbage client software on top of the hundreds already in existance. Promoting the use of guides and lists (such as on nexus for Elder scrolls) would be more beneficial. A prime example is the nexus mod manager, I don't know of anyone who uses it or wants to, there are better options and its just a waste.

So this mod is now DRM'd to steam only? May as well remove it from it here then.

Which config would you like? Its essentially these:
seta r_customHeight "1440"
seta r_customWidth "3440"
seta r_fullscreen "1"
For me, I suspect Ultra Wide is not so widely used, so pretty much anything that stretches to it. I sent you over a full dhwem.cfg.

I just tried the latest Rivensin. The settings was smoother, but the aspect ratio did not make any difference to anything. Did not appear to have 16:9 resolutions. It was able to update pretty easily, but I could only run it at 2560x1440, there was no 3440x1440 option. So it ran fine and changed resolution, but had black bars at the side, where running base D3 game did not have this. I have the cfg file with set resolution 3440x1440.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. So my desktop native is 3440x1440. I have run DHWEM 1.5.0 and 1.5.1 at 2560x1440 and that works (I might have had to change the size in the config as well, manually). The settings box was somewhat different to base dhwem, and it had 16x9 16x10, but that didn't seem tomake any difference. In fact it was difficult to get any setting for display set, and it asked to restart, which it did with a screetch (not something base did you have to manually restart). Anyways, after much fiddling, and using 1.5.0 and copying your folder, dll, and bat over, it finally went full screen and 2440X1600 and was able to play it. So not sure the graphics settings are saving correctly or being applied correctly.

I cannot seem to set screen settings properly? I have a 3080 with ultrawide, and I set settings to 2440x, ultra etc. but it doesn't actually take the settings after a restart, it sits as a square 1080x? Am I missing something as it was really quite hard to get it to go full screen - had to click the settings which restarted, then actually fully quit the game and restart before fulll screen took effect, but actual screen resoultion will not take?

Well, that is a real pity. It works fine for 90+% or so mods on here. Shame "Game Clients" are now taking over modding as well. I am out.

Seconded, I dont want to use a launcher or have automatic updates. If possible just a content pack please.

Hi, I see you have some comments before about the installers being flagged for virus. I am having this as well with Avira pickling it up. Firefox is also blocking it on download, and uploading it to virustotal shows 25/68 scanners are flagging it. I realise its legit and likely the fault of scanners, but even so its going to put people off if they get these issues.

So, after a few minutes, its seems you need to open the original video noth this one, in youtube, and then in the description there are two sets of links. The second set of links returns a fail page. The first set sends you on a nice trip through adfly - to which you need to accept notifications and goodness only knows what else as I quickly shut that page. Nice one, way to go about making it simple to get to. Just upload it here??

I am also sad to hear about these upcoming "changes". Its disgraceful that some internet hate mobs can destroy what is a superb game and great effort by the developers. I will be changing my review in regards to this modern day "Book burning".

Hi. Just following up from my comment last year on the bugs found. Will there be an update to this mod to fix that game stopping bug? Also, would be great to get an update with the newer version of Living City.

Really enjoying this, its is a great bit of work. One comment I had which you might consider at some point, adding some sort of JPG "intel maps" which roughly show where things would be (something basic just a picture of X is where we think is likely to find...). Reason is I searched for the 5 guns for hours, could not locate that last one (and in game map doesn't help at all).
Other than that, solid good fun!

Thanks for the response. My stored GZdoom is g4.5.0. Maybe the 4.6 isn't widely available yet. Yes, would have been nice to have it stored as with my other mods, but I suppose I can keep in separate folders.

Hi, Great release. One thing that would be good to know is instructions on how to set it up on a an existing GZdoom setup. I am not fully familiar with the ins and outs, however I have gzdoom, some folders with mods in, and links which start those mods. Pretty basic, but when I do the same for boa_c2.pk3 I get 2 decoration erros, and with boa.ipk3 nothing happens, it just asks me which doom I want to play (I did set it as -iwad "...boa.ipk3".

Thats very sad to hear you have removed files from here. I have not seen much in the way of ads - perhaps one (generally mod.io) when downloading something, and I have not noticed any speed reductions.

I have however had may issues with google files, accounts being maxed out and such like. I feel this move will likely lose you some people. I would suggest leaving the files here with the other site as an alternative.

Hi, great mod. Really brings the city to life. I have noted a few bugs though, a minor and one stopper:
The main one is the mission to enter the auction, it shows the video feed of you showing the golden VIP ticket and entering the door, then it crashes, every time. Can still exit the mission and play on, but everytime I goto that mission same thing.

A minor bug:
Cars sometimes jump into existance. A good example is criminal convoy missions. Often when waiting for them to turn up you see the lead car fine, and the trailing car fine, but two people suspended in mid air, and the car pops in when really near. This happens elsewhere where driving about, but quite randomly.

Hope that helps. Really enjoyed the mod up to now.

Having trouble using this in conjunction with Call Of Chernobyl. I unpack CoC and that runs fine. I then unpack Roadside Picnic, overwriting the 5 files when it prompts, and run, but all I get is the Windows error noise. I don't seem to find any install instructions for this mod. Log shows:
