STALKER: Easy Anomaly
Imgur.com Okay I finally got around to it, been in the process of moving so I haven't had time but here's an example of the aiming misalignment I mentioned back in March. The Saiga-12 is the worst by far, it covers a lot of the screen unnecessarily on top of being misaligned.
UNISG are basically the Military but in the zone illegally, they're a secret detachment of NATO and are supposed to avoid contact wherever possible as they technically shouldn't exist. Loners are just regular folk, UNISG would not want them to spread word of their existence/involvement, same for Clear Sky as they are basically unsanctioned Ecologists.
It's like if the government made a "spy" division to infiltrate Freedom, Duty etc. and learn what they know about the zone without informing the Military, they wouldn't be friends because word spreading of their existence would get to said factions and compromise them.
The guns look like they’re pointing more left than where the centre of the screen is, so it’s giving off the feel that if you were to actually shoot them, you would miss your intended target. It’s a bit of a pedantic detail, but having played mainly shooters for 8 years it’s something I’ve noticed in a few games. Not disrespecting the mod, just an observation.
Edit: It’s nearly 5 AM here so I’ll do it later but I’ll try and upload a picture showing what I mean.
It'd be nice if the guns were actually aiming where the crosshair would be when hip-firing. They are aiming too far to the left, it just looks and feels wrong. Everything else is great though, but I can't unsee the guns firing hard left while the bullets are going straight...
You're an idiot. The people you find in multiplayer games are Hackers. They use cheats to modify their game so they have things like infinite health, one shot kill, etc. Mods add in extra content and are used for the purpose of expansion/creation. Like Skyrimir said, know the difference.
July 18, 2014 was the last time I visited this page...for too long I have ignored this, forgotten about it, and not eaten enough pizza...but now, I can finally hear it, calling out to me...the Call of Chernobyl.
Like I commented some time ago, the Devs must have had trouble with it (CoP can be frustrating to work with) so they abandoned ship. That or time problems that lead them to just up and disappear.
Apparently I have a save for OGSE even though I searched everywhere and don't have the mod, but I also have Lost Alpha and now I'm confused to hell about which is which...guess I'll find out once I have reinstalled this :D
I made the same mistake. I thought it was released until I noticed the grayed out Downloads button. Now I'm like you, waiting for this absolutely amazing looking mod to be released for enjoyment.
The devs ditched this because it clearly didn't work out like Complete for SHoC did. They could have patched it but it's causing them too much grief, so unless someone else wants to pick it up, fix it and then release it, it's dust on the shelf.
First things first: The trailer music does not fit. Not even a little bit.
I love how this is for an emulated game but it is listed under all platforms. To avoid being a douche, only list it under the actual platform it matches.
It's all working now, it was the CoP-Inspired Inventory add on that was causing problems. Both the Widescreen and Non-widescreen versions are incompatible, after I reinstalled it and didn't add them it started working fine. Thanks for the info anyway.
Yes I installed it in it's own folder.
Sorry for all the messages...it is working now but custom settings won't save.
When I start a new game, it starts prefetching objects then crashes. Is this a known bug? Or is there something I missed?
EDIT: I fixed it, I had a copy of the game that the patch tried to download to but it was out of place, after moving back it patched and the mod now opens. Haven't tested gameplay yet, will get back to you on that. Thanks for the info, very helpful.
I have the retail version, but it says it can't find the game and that I don't have it installed. Any way to direct the patch? Or is there a file that has the update I can paste over a file in the game folder?
After installing it, deleting it, reinstalling it, moving things, moving them back and then installing again I got this:
Expression : wave&&wave->length()
Function : CSoundRender_Source::LoadWave
File : SoundRender_Source_loader.cpp
Line : 65
Description : Can't open wave file:
Arguments : c:\users\ryan\desktop\derp\s.t.a.l.k.e.r. - shoc - lost alpha\gamedata\sounds\dont_hear_it.ogg
Is this a bug or just a minor error?
Every time I try to start it up I get an error: "The procedure entry point BT_InstallSehFilter could not be located in the dynamic link library BugTrap.dll" - Can anyone please help with this?

Currently enjoying STALKER: Anomaly despite crashing every 5-10 minutes for varying reasons, none of which I know. I guess after playing Misery, I got used to being screwed and having to restart/reload my game/save 10 times in an hour.
