As much as I love this mod, its actually pretty unoptimized. Some of it is them pushing the Source engine in terms of gameplay mechanics, some of it is improper map optimization. MxThe himself said that the Source engine isn't fit for something like Underhell. I guess its something we have to deal with until they port to the new engine. Turn the shadows to low and you should see some improvements.

Even though I support the idea of using UE4, it still means that the AI and maps have to be remade. Porting over a diffrent engine =/= copy and paste.

I like the idea of using UE4. Hell I think they should, but porting a game is more than copy and paste. All of the maps, AI, and entities have to be remade. AI and animations are more the result of the animators/programmers skills than the engine used, and the AI is already pretty damn smart in Underhell, the cutscenes aren't that great, and yeah its the engines fault. The mods unoptimized at parts, but it seems to be bad use of visleafs. Maybe they will port over the game, but the question is, is it worth it at this point in time? /armchairdevrant
