Amazing mod that tweaks the gameplay making it enjoyable, yet challenging. Completely eliminates the bullet sponge armor from enemies and tweaks weapons to behave more like they should. I'd go so far as to say this is what quake 4 should be - with instakill railgun, accurate and deadly machinegun, but enemies that hit like a truck.

Amazing mod, fleshing out Quake's gameplay and visuals, bringing in more speed, more damage and more gore. Even though it's still in beta, i can already see it being the modern way to play Quake, just like Brutal Doom for Doom

A wonderful mod, that while adding a ton of new features, still retains balance of the original, allowing you to play old levels with a completely new feel. A feel of death incarnate, with new weapons, new abilities and bloodlust outmatching that of any demon. Though they are faster, smarter, and more dangerous this time too. This mod takes everything original doom had to eleven and improves it in every way.

Hazardous Course 2 is an architectural and gameplay genius. Level design that will make you want to explore every corner of the map in search for the next secret, or hold your breath and take in the scenery (in GoldSRC engine!)and puzzles and trials that will test your skill and knowledge of the game in the most demanding and satisfying manner, both combined with a nostalgic, true to the original Half-Life style, amazing sense of humor, and amount of polish make for an unforgettable and so far unparalleled experience.
If only you knew how much i want to erase my memory only to re-experience this masterpiece for the first time. And you might have just the chance to do so, if you haven't played it.
