In default Anomaly it's usually stuff like old ammo, mines, IEDs, scrap parts, repair items, artifact containers, used food, drug and medicine, occasionally repair kits and junk artifacts, very rarely toolkits.

I've never once had a problem with cats because they aren't very fast and beeline right at you so it's easy to pump them full of lead (not to mention they die in 2-3 PM shots) before they even reach you, blind dogs aren't that hard since they at least are slow enough to dodge around by jumping sideways. They do like to run in circles and dodge your attacks too but they only take 5-6 bullets to kill and once you get a shotgun all you need is one well aimed shot to kill them outright while they run at you for their first attack.

I rarely die to blind dogs or cats, but blind dogs often get me killed because i'm busy jumping and shooting at them and then a boar or pseudodug sneak up and one shot me.

Maybe i could figure out a mod that adds the boar footstep sounds to blind dogs/pseudodogs/cats so that you can actually hear them coming?

Unfortunately after testing this just now it works fine for me, i got into a fight in Cordon by shooting some loners and the track looped twice with no issue. I am also running 1.5.1.

I recommend you try re-installing the mod from a fresh download, that's all i can think of.

I seem to recall this happening to me before a year ago when i first tried to mod in my own music but i don't remember what fixed it.

Do you have four themes, each with three parts, for a total of 12 files in your gamedata/sounds/music/combat?

Which game version are you using? And when does it crash? When you start it up or get into a fight? I would assume this would work with any version but i made it in 1.5.1 so i'm not sure.

Also, do you have a file in gamedata/scripts called xrs_dyn_music? If so you should delete that. It could be another mod conflicting and changing the files that should be played.

Haha yeah i'd love to but my actual knowledge on coding and scripting is very limited, i'm just good with screwing around with existing scripts until they do what i want. xd

I'm not aware how but i could try. I also noticed in 1.5.1 and recent RC builds (or at least 22) boars no longer roughly charge at you allowing you to strafe and jump around them, but rather are directly roped to your character and it's completely impossible to dodge their attacks, they beeline straight at you and make sharp 200+ degree turns with ease.

Cats fortunately have really low HP so i never had a problem with them. Pseudodogs on the other hand can take a couple shotgun blasts and still not go down, which especially sucks on 1 life hard mode ironman runs like i always do. Basically a death sentence if you got a mutant kill quest and arrived there before you realized it's 5 pseudodogs, lol

are you playing the game off of a cloud file? why's it in the onedrive folder? that sounds awfully strange.

Soldiers stationed in cold tundra regions that did basic strenuous labor like marching and hiking and whatnot regularly burn 3000+. Look up snowy region MREs, they're all minimum 3k calories.

Steve1998MREinfo is great, he's where the pic came from. Real world version of this ration was 5k calories!

As a byproduct of the PDA being so close to your face when you zoom in on it, when you fast travel somewhere inside the level you're in it causes a looney-toons effect of you bringing up the PDA, then putting it down and you're suddenly somewhere else LOL.

Alright, after some testing it seems the problem was it was trying to play a third and fourth obviously non-existent combat theme, so i added Ing Battle and Dark Trooper Battle themes, now combat music works perfectly. I also figured out how to change the main menu music, so that's awesome.

New update v2 will come with optional mods to change combat and main menu music. Huzzah!

So i'm trying to get combat music to work. I replaced the fight themes with space pirate and dark samus battle themes from MP2. I had to cut them up and make them loopable myself, but the space pirate one worked flawlessly and sounds like it's meant to be there, the dark samus one has a somewhat awkward loop but is still epic.

The problem is in-game they don't normally trigger, they just cut out the normal music i already have playing. To get the themes to trigger, i have to once again save, quit and reload, and even then they sometimes don't start.

I have no clue why and it's ticking me off.

If i can make this work the potential for optional battle themes is endless. There's like a dozen battle themes across prime 1 and 2 that would fit into Stalker easily.

Just now saw accolyte's reply.

That seems to have fixed the bug but once again some maps simply don't output music.

Also a lot of the maps that do work still require you to save, quit and reload for the music to start playing.

I'm at a total loss for what to try now.
