I tried to install the mod and ran into many issues right from the get go. After directing it to install to the correct folder, it started install but many files could not install properly.

Does anyone else have an issue where you will randomly receive a "De-sync" error? I seem to get these all the time, and only when playing EaW.

I'm having some performance related issues.

First when I try to launch the game via the launcher, it just sits there, and under "Processes" in the "Task Manager" Relic CoH isn't there.
To get it to run I had to manually create a shortcut and modify the target line.

Second; When I play a game as the Ostheer, my computer seems to suffer from some strange skipping of the visuals, like its jumping forward, and its extremely common.

Third; When I exit the game playing as the Ostheer, my computer crashes all together.

(I have not tried these bugs in any other configuration then were I play as the Ostheer and my opponent is an American player.)

I can send a dxdiag if that would help, but I rarely have issues with my PC (As I'm not a numpty when it comes to PC's and I built it myself with lots of TLC) and never have these issues with VCoH or any other CoH mod.

Any help would be appreciated.

Two things;

Does anyone else find that the grenade rifle add-on for the British and American infantry units is a tad over powered? I understand its supposed to be effective against units in buildings and cover but when no matter where my units are, a single volley of 2 grenades has the potential to wipe out the entire section, and at such a range my men cant even fire back, it feels a little game breaking.

Second; Does anyone else notice a marked increase in instability with this mod since the CoH relaunch?

When I try to start a game with a friend of mine, his game crashes the moment it loads. Usually it locks up, with small blue boxes for units (With the message: "Missing RGM".

This is the second time doing the install, both times because of this issue and it was installed exactly the same as on my pc, yet mine works fine. Any ideas?

Wow the forums are messing with me today. You bring up a valid point. Glad to see your taking suggestions though! (Now that I think about it the PE did have tanks, but just the Panzer IV Ausf F1 and the Panzer 38H735 (f). Though neither of these was really superb against armour.)

After playing a few rounds I think I have to agree with the general consensus that the US has nearly no proper armour to counter the PLA.

My suggestion is to take a look at the earlier production models of the Abrams, as you already have the models ingame. The 2 that I would look at are the original M1 Abrams and the M1IP Abrams (Both are equipped with the L52 M68 105mm Main gun and less armour than the M1A1/M1A2 Variant [Though the M1IP is slightly better protected than the M1]).

Edit: When I say "Nearly no" I mean that the US cannot produce armour in comparison to the PLA. I would also like to point out that its a little unbalanced to expect the US players to counter with only the option of infantry or special ammo consuming abilities on lighter armour. After all, isn't versatility and options the name of the game?

The BTR-70 is Russian first of all.

So something comparable to the Stryker would be one of these in-service Chinese vehicles:
WZ551 (Also known at Type 90 and Type 92) - Wheeled IFV.
ZBD2000 or ABD-05 - Amphibious IFV's.
ZBD-97 (Also known as Type 97 + 2 Variants known as ZBD-04 and ZBD-08) Tracked IFV.

Will the MC mod retain the unit veterancy system from vanilla CoH? If so, will it be the same for both the PLA and U.S.? Also which would it be (The VCoH U.S./P.E., Commonwealth, or Wehrmacht)?

I think what he meant wasn't Manpower so much as Command Points if I'm not mistaken, judging by the comment of only being able to build a few sections and vehicles.

Either way I vote don't change it, it's a great balance system that helps discourage rushing and blobbing (Though not perfect).

Not necessarily. If the two factions have a lot of content in them it shouldn't be a big deal.

Just go wiki or google American or Chinese military vehicles, weapons, equipment etc. and you'll quickly be overwhelmed by how much variety there really is in equipment, which also means the devs of MC have quite a bit to work with.

Sense your not going to be releasing a Beta, will there be a tier'ed release? I.e. Are you expecting to release additional content later, like maps, modes, units, abilities, etc?

I tried installing this EXACTLY as was instructed in your readme/installer and I have been unable to get it to actually play the game. My suggestion would be to just create a launcher like so many other mods out there so you can avoid this problem with no just myself, but everyone else in the future + it allows you to keep it updated without everyone coming back to moddb.com repeatedly + you can put news about the mod on the launcher.

Some other things you may wish to consider for the striker besides just SLAT Armour are the following:

* M1126 Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV) : Armored personnel carrier that can carry nine troops. It can be armed with M2 0.50 machine gun, MK19 40 mm grenade launcher or M240 7.62 mm machine gun.

* M1127 Reconnaissance Vehicle (RV)

* M1128 Mobile Gun System (MGS)

* M1129 Mortar Carrier (MC) armed with 120 mm Mortar

* M1130 Command Vehicle (CV)

* M1131 Fire Support Vehicle (FSV)

* M1132 Engineer Support Vehicle (ESV)

* M1133 Medical Evacuation Vehicle (MEV)

* M1134 Anti-Tank Guided Missile Vehicle (ATGM) armed with TOW missile

* M1135 Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Reconnaissance Vehicle (NBC RV)

* Mxxxx Self-Propelled Howitzer (SPH) This was a prototype vehicle. It differs from the Mobile Gun System as this variant has the ability to accurately fire shells beyond its line of sight.[19] Work stopped after the Nov. 2005 demonstration of the prototype.

Also the new CAGE Armour that is currently in use in Afghanistan and Iraq.

P.S. Not saying that you should make all or most of these(Because that would make the game to revolved around the Stryker) but they are some options.
