Thanks, it's gonna be even better soon.
Gracias por tus comentarios y que bueno que te guste la trama porque tengo un montón de ideas sobre un mundo sci fi que quiero presentar (probablemente en más de un juego).
You are right, it is super early (I started this project only a few months ago). I'm thinking of changing a lot of the combat before I release an Early Access version (ai, add fog of war, more combat actions, etc).
Thanks for the feedback, I'm certainly wondering if I should just wait for the next Steam festival instead of presenting this demo next week.
Yeah, I'm thinking loyalty too low could trigger a mutiny where you have to fight in your own ship. Losing that battle would be game over.
Other idea would be that soldiers could desert you and maybe give you a chance to chase them.
There's a magic seal in the shrine where you can revive your monsters.
Rude? there's nothing rude about your comments. I already released a game in Steam so I know real rudeness (and I'm proud to say I never lost my temper).
Btw I had to hire help for that because all the dialogues and lore is around 20k words so I can't just put that burden in people here (I'm looking for testers though).
Don't worry, I'm going to hire proofreading and editing services for all the dialogues.
Not really, that's unlocked later in the main quest.
Currently there's no way to edit your name. Maybe I could add a NPC that lets you do it but that would be in the final version and I'm a bit overwhelmed right now trying to finish the game this month. Sorry.
That's a good idea, I'll think about it. Thanks for all your feedback, if I go silent for a while is because I'll be 100% focused but I'll keep reading any feedback.
I uploaded a new version and took this into account (remade the town and other scenarios). I'll post an article with all the changes soon.
Thanks for your feedback!
Yep, all the starters are big. The idea is pretty simple, all the best monsters are big, the downside is that they require 2 slots to be deployed in combat (for the same price you can deploy two small ones). I wacthed a video recently of a player testing the demo and I think I need to explain better the idea of "slots".
Monsters acquire spells and special movements by leveling up. The player can acquire spells by finding them in loot containers (books).
Thanks for your vote! frankly, I know that series only by name, I'm more of a PC gamer so my main source of inspiration for this game is not really a monster catcher game but a turn based strategy series called Heroes of Might & Magic.
Thanks. Not really, the main source of inspiration for the gameplay comes from Heroes of Might & Magic. Now you could say it has one point in common with Fire Emblem: permadeath for your units.
I'm not sure yet... maybe the personal guard of a unique type?
Thanks! Well, there won't be something as clear as earth monster beats fire monster but there will be resistances (and maybe weaknesses, I haven't decided yet) to certain attacks and status effects, also different stats (by monster and beastmancer) and purpose (melee, ranged, support).
That's the plan at the moment: lots of potions with different effects. Also I would like to add bombs and maybe traps.
No, I didn't spend a cent in Greenlight. I don't understand this fear that some newbies have about Greenlight, if you've been following it for a while (or watching youtubers that cover Greenlight projects like Jim Sterling) you'll see that all kind of crap gets greenlit so if your game is at least decent, Greenlight shouldn't be a problem (my game had less than 1k votes and got greenlit after 20 days).
Seeing your project, I think you should add more content variety (more arenas and units) and also try to change some of your 3D models because those have been used a lot and people will recognize them. That or keep a low price. Anyway, your game could get greenlit but only after a long time because it looks pretty barebones and cheap at the moment, try to invest on it a bit more so it doesn't atract too much haters.
Its a rare monster, that means is a bit stronger than the common monsters but you will find it more than once (specially in the late game). Its more of a strong mob.
There's some anime influence in a lot of characters, I wonder if I should post my articles in the anime group or it would feel too spammy, I don't know.
I was thinking of having a simple crafting system based on ingredients left by the monsters you kill. Not sure if I'm going to implement something like gear for the player. Do you have something specific in mind?
