Best mod i've ever played, and i've played my fair few. Play BF2, its expansions until its fun has been sucked dry, then play this. I promise you, its awwesome. You won't regret getting it =D

Lol its obvious the mod creators do other things than make mods all day, not a bad thing of course. It looks like its gonna be a hell of a good mod so hopefully the wait will be worth while.

Set in 2019, Crysis' plot follows Jake Dunn, a United States Delta Force operative, whose codename is "Nomad". As Crysis begins, an American team of archaeologists is taken captive by the North Korean Army, just as they were making an important discovery in the South China Sea. The United States responds by deploying a team of Delta Force operatives, supported by the USS Ashcroft. Jake Dunn, one of the Delta Force operatives sent by the American government, takes part in the fighting between the United States, and the then superpower North Korea. Soon, though, it becomes apparent that the presumed asteroid on the island is actually an alien vessel. During this phase of the game, the setting will mainly be a tropical environment, similar to that in Far Cry, Crytek's previous game.

Two Delta Force soldiers wearing nanosuits, pictured inside the ice sphere.The meteor opens up, revealing a two-kilometer high alien ship, which begins to xenoform the area around the island, by creating an ice sphere; this affects weather patterns around the planet. Alien machines begin exiting the ship, attacking both the Americans and North Koreans, who decide to join forces to combat the new threat. Jake Dunn wanders into the alien ship,—thinking it to be a mine shaft—and begins to explore the weightless environment, retrieving valuable information about the alien invaders, who periodically attack him. The recoil of weapons combined with the zero-gravity environment propels players back, while shell casings from weapons float nearby.

Basically, Instead of an asteroid smashing into earth. The rock is classed as a atrifact. Which is just as well...

You havn't really been doing any research on Crysis have you? Well first of all, you can pick up weapons :)

Secondly, I like it and it will be one of the many crysis mods i will be downloading

Should come tomorrow, if it doesnt then the day after tomorrow. It dosent matter when it comes just as long as it does come :) I played the demo and its completely ownage :D

Also, i class it as a RTT (Real Time Tactical) and a RTS (Real Time Strategy) in one. so RTT/RTS

- Graphics: 10/10
- Sound: 9/10
- Learning Curve: 10/10 (Meaning its pretty easy to get to grips and isnt too complicated = good!)
- Storyline: 9/10 (from what ive heard/ speculate)
- Difficulty: I can't rate this seeming ive only played the Demo on easy :p
- Overall: 97/100

If only there were more games out like this :) Great job Massive Entertainment and Sierra XD

Add Shaaeseer@hotmail.co uk for some ideas for weapons/unit types or unit classes. I have no idea how to model/mapp/code/art or i know nothing of Texture art either.. i can just see myself has being some help for weapon ideas :)

But how can you tell that the player will be placed in a different position/situation than other shooters. You can make maps with a city that's street ways and alley's are the only way to get from A to B, but can you be the judge that decides how the player will fight?

Well, ill make it simple for ya..

"Unlike some games where you'll find yourself repeatedly in the same situation but on a slightly different map, Carbine will put you into all kinds of combat scenarios, each with a very different feel than the one before. "

But you'll find it extremely hard to make maps in such a way that makes the player feel like the combat situation is different each time. And to add to the difficulty with getting this effect, multiplayer dosent help.

Completely other than that, i am looking forward to this mod :) if its lke Delta Force: Black Hawk Down then thats just AWESOME! The models looking good so far! (especially the UMP, my favorite weapon.. hate the recoil though..)

When i click on Project Far Cry in mods, ingame, the game restarts but it dosent load the mod :(

Million dollar question my friend, i think only a handfull of people who knew about the demo at the time were allowed to get it. It isnt that bad at 90% so ima just wait it out with this one :p
