Did you delete the saves and start a new game?
There should be no script error if you installed properly.
Make sure you don't have other mods installed alongside Ordeal and delete all saves and start a new game (sign the pact)
You'll have no errors if you do so.
There's also a pdf with useful info coming with the download that will ensure you'll have a nice playthrough.

I believe the mod already adjusts the weapons position to be more centered as to match the projectile. I don't know if this is what you're looking for exactly, but it's a start.

Are you sure you've installed Ordeal Mod on a clean copy of Painkiller Black Edition, with no other mods?
This usually happens in Painkiller Overdose and never in the original Painkiller.

YES! Finally someone adding all the good stuff from Gothic 1 into Gothic 2. Don't get me wrong I love Gothic 2 but some things just needn't have changed from Gothic 1. I loved this feature.

I see.Changing the quest is also a good idea since it's your mod and new quest ideas are always welcome.
I honestly think that the critical-chance reliant system and the way you have to carefully invest LP to increase that was a very good addition to Gothic 2 the way it currently is in NOTR!!
I understand though what you're aiming for and I noticed that you tried to set grounds for that, in version 1.0 of the mod, with the way you train 1h, 2h, xbow and bow. As it is currently in the mod, I agree that the system is not at its best at all since fighting humans is not what you would call welcoming. It takes way more to defeat the easiest of humans at start.
Nevertheless fighting beasts seems damn hard at start but after just a few levels it's a walk in the park.
I think your 50%-crit at beginning and then raised by 10% every time is interesting. This also depends on how will you decide the LP investment. It should also NOT feel like you go from very very very weak to "I can take on the whole bloody forest", when you go from 0 to 50% at the first LP investment. :)) That remains to be seen.
Well it wasn't like 30 1handed would get you through the whole game, but you also had your strength that is applied on each hit so it made you feel like you're very powerful with just that at the beginning.
Regarding bow and x-bow, I have to agree that it takes way more until you feel like you're actually hitting your target (70%+), but it's as slow with magic though.
All things considered you need to know some sword-fighting and have some good stability with that, until you can actually call yourself a Mage or a Marksman so that's why I think the system is the way it currently is!
Last but not least I am curious about the new system and IMHO it should feel balanced all throughout the game. It should be a slow progression from weak to very powerful, as the game does atm.

Yes...it wasn't that immersive epic adventure with an overly-complicated plot in which you fight tons of monsters and feel like the hero...
...buuuuut 'twas fun to play which was kinda the whole point of it IMHO!

The mod had some interesting ideas, such as the burning damage for all the fire spells, new quests, some that are tying up some loose ends from the original game, new NPCs, and more. So well done for that!

The biggest problem I encountered SO FAR is the bug with Greg's quest. It's a pretty damn big quest and it's a shame that it cannot be completed. It's a serious issue IMHO since it breaks the immersive factor and continuity of the game.
It raised up the serious question: "Should I continue playing like this?"
Please take care of this in version 2 since, like I said, it's a mod with a lot of potential.

I also wanted to ask. You said you wanted to make V2 it as close to Gothic 1 as possible. Does this mean you'll bring back the same fighting style and world-interactivity, using the same old Gothic 1 controls I mean?

The issue has been resolved. Apparently the launcher "Settings" menu indeed had a "Coh Directory" text field that was blank and should have been filled with the corresponding Company of Heroes installation path.

Hello!
I have been trying to play this version of Blitzkrieg but an issue occurs.
When I try to load ANY Skirmish or Multiplayer map the game crashes at about 75% of the loading progress bar. It always does so.
I have Company of Heroes Tales of Valor installed AND patched up to 2.602.
I DO NOT have the steam version!!
Can you please help me resolve this issue?
I would really like to get into this Mod since it seemed very interesting from what I have read.

Hi! Can you please help me with this issue?
I have Company of Heroes Tales of Valor version 2.602 installed.
Then I did everything in the following order:
1. I downloaded Eastern Front 2.10 FULL (Ostheer!) and installed it.
2. I used the Launcher to update the Mod up to version 2.2.2.0.
3. I installed "Eastern Front Compatibility Patch for CoH 2.602".

I tried to launch the game but I get an error message which says something similar to: "Can't find the Company of Heroes Directory!".
I should probably mention that I DO NOT have the STEAM VERSION!
Do you have any idea why this may be happening, must I really have the steam version (2.700) installed ?

Awesome Mod ! The puzzles really makes the player think and are logical, instead of using insane glitches, map bugs and insane jumping which are stupid and completely against the game itself.

I played episode one and it was absolutely great! However, when I try to install episode 2 via Desura it automatically finds Episode 1 and tries to reinstall Episode 1 and not Episode 2. I purchased the original Portal game via Steam. Can anyone help me?
