No, It still requires Generals to play.

However you can have Shockwave, RotR and CWC in the same computer since they each have seperate installers.

1)Good you're not supposed to do that.
2)The Sokol might have been detected by mobile sensors or the radar helicopter, and thus more easily shot down.
3)Can't say I do, I barely used it.
4)Then don't rely solely on the planes, use Sokols in places where vehicles often show up to soften them before reaching your main defenses.

Jonesy is right, start playing on easily defendable maps like Supply lines, Face Off or Mountain Guns. Either use gunships, your own artillery or light vehicles to destroy enemy artillery (though only the Hard and Brutal AI uses long range artillery). Don't let them capture any Reinforcement Pads or they'll flood you with tanks (again only in Hard and Brutal AI). If your having trouble with the Medium AI just barricade yourself inside your base and just blow up the enemy using superweapons or General Powers.

The USA is my favorite faction, they have the fastest MBT in the game (Hover Crusaders) the best airforce, laser tech that makes the GLA Macross Missile Massacres ineffective and various amounts of support units like Javelins, Mules, HK drones and Commanches. GLA comes a close second with their salvage tech, cash bounties and fast units. Russia for superior firepower, China for superior numbers and nukes and ECA for excellent defenses (the units are slow, hard to produce and require a certain amount of micro though).

No, the Recycler picks up the salvage (in your case the Russian tier 2 salvage which is the one marked with the ROTR symbol) and you select the "Upgrade with SA3 Missiles" (paraphrasing) in your Ural Truck. However if you want a crude Tremor AGAS system to replace your Recycler then yes you should upgrade the Recycler instead.

Oh don't get me wrong the new salvage mechanic is pretty awesome, it's just that sometimes the crates either vanish before the Recycler picks it up or they accidentally get picked up by my vanguard.

Run the infantry over with Humvees or use Blackhawks and Vipers. Also use a kiting strategy (as Crimson said), hit the vehicles with TOW's return to base a bit to repair whatever damage the vees receive, hit them again then rinse and repeat. It would also help to put your defensive units on a hotkey. Also if the supply dock is not being passed by the enemy en route to your base, just train some extra Ospreys and send them to the secondary dock.

Vanguards are super powerful though, concentrated fire coming from a large group of them can rip light vehicles to shreds. Not to mention they can clear garrisons and do a bunch of support stuff with their drones.
