Somehow my game sometimes crashes when too many units are in play. 1 vs 1 games never crash but more than two players is too much. The game just shuts down and gives me multiple error messages all involving the game.dat file. Is this a known issue?

Ok, I figured it out: when you select a random enemy the game crashes, if you give the NPC a fixed faction (for instance Isengard) then the game seems to be working! This still does not fix my connection error though.

I experience two major problems:

1. When I start a game in singleplayer it crashes upon starting a match. It gives me the error: "game.dat has requested to run in a unusual way". The strange thing is that sometimes the game is still able to launch and sometimes not...

2. Whenever I try to join a multiplayer game via Tunngle I get a "Connection timed out", every time...

Thanks for answering! I gotta say that it has been a long time since I looked forward to a game so much, let alone a mod!

Two more questions:
1. The AI in 3.8 had HUGE improvements compared to the original. Has the AI been modified any further for 4.0?
2. In 3.8 you were still able to 'level' the base factions by playing skirmish against the AI (you can check out your level under profile stats), is this still possible, and if so, can you also level the factions added by the Edain team?

Will Arnor be included as a faction in the same way as in 3.8, where if you selected Gondor on some maps you would play as Arnor?
