Nah. We'll definitely be adding normals and specular maps, so it's not necessary. I was thinking of adding the indent lines on the top back of the gun on each side, but I''m not sure yet. Since they are so small of an indent you won't notice in game at all that they are there or not.

Thanks, we'll try. Just because Epic makes all their games incorporate HDR and Bloom doesn't mean anything though. Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 both use HDR and Bloom with Source engine and that's where we started, as you know.

So to start we were thinking of the whole porting of our current map from Source SDK to UDK, and I found a way that worked. Pretty stoked because I didn't see anything online showing how to. So, after 5 hours and 25 minutes, of importing and exporting after another, I got the map ported into UDK and we're pretty stoked. We'll just have to fix a bunch of things, but hopefully it won't be more work than to just restart.

I don't think it will be more work.

Absolutely. With Maya 2011 on my Mac too now I'll be totally stoked if the SDK comes over as well.

I do wonder why they would be rich. It's NY in the thirties... How many people have you heard of live in NYC in the thirties with alleys in the back of their houses? I don't know maybe I'm out of line...Although I think of Depression when I hear NYC 30s

Way to be positive! Two people work on this mod. We work practically everyday, and being no more than intermediate at anything, it won't be done tomorrow. Believe me when I say we want something fun to come out of this.

Good eye, but that's how we learned to model. We're old fashion. Sanders started a mod on Medal of Honor Allied Assault, and back then in that game they did use triggers, because it was just easy to fit the models finger in without it. And you couldn't see the trigger anyway. If need be we will put the triggers in, but if not, then that's losing a couple poly's we could use on detail somewhere else.

A little info about what's going on here. I need to finish still. I did however find out a new way to model. I think I'll finish this one the way I'm heading now, and try my new better way with the Colt 1911. I'm sure I'll like the new way better, and if need be I'll update this model later. I'm sure from my finished piece this way, it won't be much far off from the new way I learned. Criticize away. I do have access to a real Thompson so the refinement is just around the corner.

We know it wasn't used avidly. We know it was used a bit. As for multi player we're going to throw it in. It's not going to be easy to get though; stay tuned.
